good with the bad

Yesterday I was thinking how my body aches, but somehow I'm in a good enough mood.  Today also in a good enough mood, despite the red bruise on my elbow, and making plans to buy thick safety gloves to just plain pick up a probably kicking-biting homeless cat to get neutered.
Friday, flu and pneumonia shots at walmart in morning---around 6 at night feeling as sick as a dog, couldn't even lay on the arm where shot was given; after midnight to soak my head under cold shower to get my fever down.  Today, Sunday, that arm is red---and feels hot.
Friday also got my first pair of new glasses in at least 20 years.  Could afford glasses, and feeding homeless cats cause my poor 20 year old cat put to sleep 8 months ago, after # expensive vet bills.
Monday, Sept 22 was the eye exam, with good news of my eyes ok, and even my eyesight for faraway is actually better, with doctor saying that's usually does happen after a certain age.
Was a day or two after that for the other tenant in the building to knock at my door---to show me his new pistol grip shotgun, with a shell from it falling to the floor.
He maybe knocked, though, to tell me the convicted molester who lived in the group home in our building asked him to get him a gun, supposedly from others threatening him----though the convicted molester also told him, in a bar, he planned to "settle up" with me, from me yelling at him around February.
The same tenant also told me that the downstairs guy who played music loud also accused him of stealing his money---after the tenant was nice enough to buy him a drink; the loud music idiot apologized when sober, but "you cant put the toothpaste back in the tube" as the tenant said to me.  So maybe THAT incident has caused the downstairs to be quiet enough for last few weeks.

Geez, what a situation for you. I admire the way you defend yourself in spite of the kind of people you are dealing with. I had some crappy new neighbors move in beside us this summer. I\'m pretty sure they have a grow op in their basement.

I live in a townhouse complex and we share walls with these people. In 16 years of living here we have never noticed any smells from the next house. Now however the smell of weed gets through to our house very strongly. We notice it especially in the basement but also the kitchen. There is one cupboard with pipes running through it that just reeks of pot so it stinks up my kitchen too.

The smell isn\'t constant. It seems to get really bad for a week or so then improve for a few weeks. It is bothering me a great deal. I tried calling Crime Stoppers and complaining to the caretaker. No response from either. We are locked into a lease until next August.

For myself I feel too ill to pack up & leave. I\'m keeping fingers crossed these people get busted. This is a supposed middle class complex but it has been going downhill the last few years.

Yes, TroJanThunder...hopefully almost 3 upcoming months of quiet, with me maybe knocked out on melatonin New year\'s eve, when its \"normal\" to make noise all night.

it really is a dirty shame what YOU are going through, KellyPaterson. I couldn\'t handle that. Yes, being so sick to move is a reason to leave---but also a reason you could probably break your lease through August. Maybe a doctor\'s statement and whatever free legal advice can help you.

I told the cops a few weeks ago the downstairs music was ruining my health, and I\'m just on high blood pressure medication. Stress from some idiot neighbor certainly isn\'t good for you.

Take care.

That\'s good you have glasses. And your eyes are well. It is important to look after your eyes. and use glasses if needed. I had an eye exam this year and my eyes are good. I do use the over counter reader glasses +100 for reading and computer and for small writing on medicine bottles. that writing is so tiny. lol

Where you live. It just sounds so rough at times. a tenant showing you his gun? omg that is just weird and a bit scary. I do hope you stay safe.

Noisy neighbors and smells are all things that can be stressful to the nerves over time. can\'t be easy.
I hope that things change. neighbor goes or something.
I hope you can find ways to tune it out somehow. easier said than done I can imagine. I like white noise that can help to relax. you can get it online. white or pink noise.
