good weekend

So I had a pretty good week and a great weekend! Hey look…something a bit positive for a change! Friday we went to Primantis for the Pens game and that was cool. Saturday I helped T with her yard and we just hung out that night. Sunday we had everyone over for Mother’s Day. It rained but I was able to dodge the rain long enough to fire up the grill! Everything was good and everyone had a nice time. T has her stupid traffic ticket thing today…UPDATE…T just called and the cops didn’t show up so she got off her tickets! That’s good because it was a total trap.  I have been going to lunch with my friends pretty much every day. I used to worry about spending a few dollars going out to lunch but now I view it as part of my therapy. I do feel a lot better hanging out with others rather then working at home everyday by myself. I get a lot of work done at home but coming into the office has helped get me out of this funk.  I’m still a bit sad/upset about my current situation but with the meds/therapy I’m starting to be able to just live on a more day to day basis instead of constantly freaking out 24/7 about that stupid place and worrying about all the “what ifs”. The thoughts and worry are still there but they are no longer debilitating like before. Also I am able to go out with family/friends and enjoy a little. Before I could not seem to enjoy anything which was an awful way to live! I’m sure I will have bad days and I may even slip back a few steps but I’m not too worried about it now. I was convinced that awful feeling would never go away when the days felt like months. Thank God I finally took some action to handle this. I know my situation will be bad for a few years or more but at least I’m beginning to feel normal and feel some joy in life.   I pray for everyone with this awful illness. I hope to continue improving with time and maybe some day I can help others in need.  Monday, May 12, 2008 10:32 am
