Good things
Yesterday, my son went to youth group. I think he really liked it. He talked about "my friends".
Tonight, instead of sorting his Yu-Gi-Oh cards in his room, he came to the living room to do it next to me. AND told me - twice - that he loved me. (Whoa--I hadn't heard that in a long time!) And then he wanted me to tuck him in bed to say good night to him!
I think that, when I told him that I was OK with missing part of Dancing with the Stars (1 of my favorite shows) to pick him up from Youth & that his social life was more important to me than TV, he was surprised!
With little baby steps, it seems like we are slowly rebuilding our relationship. And he is re-developing an interest in things in his life. I just hope that spills over into all parts of his life!
