Good stuff and gratitude, and a little sadness

1.  I got a raise, yay!
2.  Had a enjoyable Christmas and New Year.  After the wedding, DH and I just took it easy for a while.  Nothing fancy, just dinner out with the kids.  Great dinners and conversation.
On a sadder note,  on December 23, I had to put my sweet Lacey (my Rottweiler) to sleep.  She has been having health problems since early November and on December 18, she was diagnosed with chronic renal failure.  Her health failed quickly and the week of Christmas, she was n-stage.  It was sad, but I made her well being a priority and made a tough decision.  I'm glad I did, because she didn't suffer for long, and she is over the Rainbow Bridge now.

Lacey was about 9 or 10. I rescued her from our local shelter about 7 1/2 years ago. She was such a sweet baby.
