Good Session

had a good session with my therapist today. she wants to change our schedule to twice a week. i felt encouraged that she was supportive of my decisions about school. and she was appalled at the run around between the hospital and my gp.  she was more than a little worried when i told her i had the scalpels out but i told her i put them away again pretty immediately. i told her i haven't been able to get myself to throw them away, but now and again when it gets bad i bring them out and make a choice to put them away again. it's sometimes a tough choice, but i'm glad i keep making it.  she's very cognition oriented. for her much of my treatment is about recognnising patterns of thought and behaviour, interrupting them when neccessary and re-orienting myself toward the positive. i'm trying.  everyday i am trying.

sounds like you\'ve got the right therapist!! good luck with that. Maybe it\'s a good thing to keep certain things around when you can overcome them. with help from the Lord. but then, maybe the biggest victory is when you no longer need them because you are cofidant that you can get along without them. keep up the good work. I know what a moment by moment struggle this can be. but we both can do this!! yeah, us!!
