good news, bad news.
I know DS is going to say it's Friday, but it's not. It's Thursday. Okay???
We have some bad news about my MIL. Her cancer has spread to her liver and cervix. The doctor is giving her a few weeks to live. She is getting weaker and weaker. My sisters-in-law are dealing with the news relatively well, but my brothers-in law are not coping at all. Please pray for them.
I bumped my head on a rafter in the attic yesterday and cut the top of my ear. It's just a little nick, but I took a shower this morning and started the bleeding all over again ... pain in the butt. I'm a "free bleeder".
I got a lot done today. I washed the bedroom curtains and cleaned the insides of the windows. At the end of the hallway, I have a small bookcase with lots of do-dads on it (that I washed in the kitchen sink), a shelf full of framed photos, and a wall mirror. I cleaned all of that today, pulled out the bookcase and mopped beneath it. The stuff was dirty --- Tim doesn't dust. Then I took the dogs for a 2 mile walk and cooked my supper. I made a pasta salad. I was so tired and shaky that I lost my grip when I drained the pasta and dumped the pasta in the sink. I scooped it out, rinsed it, and ate it anyway ... glad I had just cleaned the sink before I drained the pasta. I have just taken the bedsheets out of the dryer and put the blankets in the dryer. I may have to take a nap on the couch before I can make the bed so that I can go to bed.
Tim comes home tomorrow night. Fall break. He'll be here for over a week. I guess we need to talk about plans for another bad trip to Maine. I need to be saving up some energy for that inevitability, but I want to shut the thought out for as long as I can.
I miss Brutus. I'm glad that he is back where he belongs, though. John missed him terribly, and I could tell that Brutus had missed John every bit as much. I'm going to have to call John in a few days and see how Brutus is doing. I hope his injuries were minor.

Oh goodness! I\'m so sorry to hear about your mother in law, P.R.!! This is going to be a difficult situation for Tim. Your SIL\'s and BIL\'s will all have a hard time coping. I know they want your MIL to be done with suffering, and if the cancer if not stoppable at this point, then it\'s only going to continue on. What an ugly disesae it is! I wrote a whole journal on just that word. UGLY! It is. It truely is. I pray for peace for Tim\'s family as they go through this difficult waiting period and time of uncertainty!! xo
I\'m so very happy that John and Brutus have been reunited! I read your last journal first. It\'s a wonderful thing that you were a part of!! Good on you for being aggressive in helping John find his beloved pet!!
Praying that thes
difficult days ahead of you and your family, will be guided by the Lord and that everyone will be able to gather their strength and courage from Him.
Gentle hugs! xoxo
I\'m so sorry about your MIL. I\'m sure those trips to Maine are very taxing. It looks like another one is coming up. I will pray for you and Tim that you will be able to communicate well, even during this time of great stress.
It sounds like you did to much. I start dropping things too when I get too tired. I have done the exact same thing. I rinse the pasta and eat it anyway. If I threw something away every time I dropped it, I wouldn\'t have much left. Lots of love to you.
Very sorry to hear about your MIL Nancy. Your family, Tim\'s family have been through so much. I agree with Darla. Such an ugly disease. Sending you all light, love and strength and asking your Angels to help get you through it all.
I totally understand the shaking. Doing it as I type this on my phone. I had to do some things today. PUSHED so hard...weak, dizzy, shaky. Ugh. But I\'m on my own so much. Grateful I had the ability to even push today. Sometimes that\'s not an option! Oh and the bedding...I\'ve done that a ton. Having to wait until I can move again to go to put clean bedding on and get in bed. Only we would understand needing a nap before bed time. ;)
Love and hugs coming at ya...
My love and healing goes out to you and your family, I cannot imagine how hard that must be. I hope your MIL is not in too much pain. You are right to store up as much rest in prep for your trip to Maine now and make time for rest after stress is the toughest thing to deal with when it comes to CFS and your body deserves special treatment.
I have had the cleaning bug too, sometimes being stuck at home you feel you need to do something other than stare at those walls all day. I have done too much at times, but when you pace you can save yourself from the shakes and a crash. I have decided to put a timer on when I do an activity so that after 30mins max, I rest, even if it makes the task take longer it\'s better not to crash too hard.
here we joke about the \'3 second rule\' when you top food: if you pick it up quick the germs aren\'t on it! So silly, but a little is harmless. I think we all would have done the same :) Love and hugs
*drop food, I meant to say :)
