Good Morning mommas!!!

The sun is up, the birds are chirping, the gentle breeze blowing. It's a beautiful day!!!

I wish you and yours peace and happiness today, and everyday.

Do you have ANY idea how excited I am for San Antonio???

Tyler is improving, mostly... 2 steps forward and 1 back, he must learn to listen to his body, when it say's slow down, he must learn to rest.  Jim has had a little setback but had been progressing nicely, too much too fast and the body said, Not today James, not today. He's growing impatient, but he's still so grateful that he's back home in Wisconsin!!! his daughters painted his toenails blue (after their favorite auntie put a bug in their ear!HA!)  Katie is doing well, she's even started driving!!! she graduated from therapy program for her mental health and PTSD and is still going to PT.

The kitties and the hubbs are doing well. Those darn Kitties...... Fred and Stewart........ they are just so funny!!!! and loveable, and goofy!!!

Dad continues to decline slowly, he still remembers who I am, and for that I am grateful.

Mom is still good, and mom. she's a soldier....... a warrior soldier.

I did have an emotional weekend. Up north, there was a dedication tree planting for a little girl who had passed. Her name is Abby and she was 14. That was pretty tough. I did good until I got a hug. then the waterworks..........sheesh. Abby's mom has the mask on right now. she's keeping herself so so busy. Abby's dad isn't doing the greatest, but he's doing the best he knows how, perhaps that's why mom is mission strong right now. I just think of when it does hit, lord pray and help this beautiful family get through these turbulant times that are sure to arrive.

Brandon's 5 year is getting closer and closer......... I can feel myself slowly moving towards panic mode. July 13th will be here before I know it.

Love and hugs

Lisa (Brandon's mom)

SO delighted to hear how life is treating you dearest Lisa. Listening to our bodies is not an easy one and I hope that Tyler will tune into "Radio Tyler" even if what he may be hearing is not always his favorite station.

Oh, that dear family trying to put one foot in front of the other with their loss. I have no doubt in time you may BE that connection that her mom needs and trust your intuition as to when to circle back around to check in. When everyone has "come and gone" and is moving on with their lives and hers feels at a "standstill" that is when she will so appreciate a heart with ears I would suspect. YOU will know.

We share the 13th and I slumped into such a low last week and could not think of why until I actually sat quietly with myself and knew exactly why. How it could sneak up like that and turn on the liquid prayers as someone here on the site once called our tears I will never know. I have told a few of my friends who have not had to say good-bye for now to their children that if I were on a deserted island with no concept of "time" that my mother DNA would still be activated and I would know. I'm thinking of you sister with an abundance of gentle care as we tend to our hearts leading up to the 13th.

Loving care always sweet Lisa and no "wandering off" without telling someone where you are going.

SO good to hear your excitement! I too am SOOOO looking forward to SA and hugging the bejeezus out of you!!!

I'm a couple of Caring Bridge posts behind so I'm thrilled to hear the updates and am so pleased to know Katie is doing as well as she is. Now those boys of yours....MEN! When will they learn they HAVE to listen to their bodies and allow the time needed (frustrating I know) for the healing process, and simple resting process. But I'm thankful for all the amazing progress they've both been making.

Sounds like your family is full of warriors!! I either didn't know, or have forgotten the issues regarding your mom and dad. Many prayers and much love for them as well.

July 13th. "That day".....Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, then, now, and always. B R A N D O N!!!!!

Thank you for checking in and sharing your heart with us. See you in San Antonio!!! Whoop! Whoop!

My heart aches with yours at the news of another devastated family having a child ripped from their lives. JUST SO SAD!!!
