Good Grief here we go again.
Ok tested my INR this morning and were back down to 1.5..................... Sheesh, guess i get to stay on Lovenox shots for yet another week. I did find out that for my procedure yesterday they gave me an IV push of antibiotics and that lowered my INR levels, so at least I have an answer as to why. Also the stress of the second colonscopy without anstehsia added to my stress and that too can lower INR levels. hope all is well with all of you. I'm thinking of each and everyone of you today and your in my prayers.LoveFerr

Yes..at least you have a good reason for lower INR but it is still frustrating isnt it .
I took a five day pack of ABs 1.9 TO 3.2 in 5 days .But that was after going from 2.9 to 1.9 after starting a walking program ...sheesh maybe there is no getting right for us ?
Ferr when I have a drop out of range they tell me that I am still protected (dont worry) because the blood is still somewhat thinned .I guess those words are supposed to be comforting :-)
I know that you have special worries because you need to stay in a higher range but try not to worry lady,you are in Gods hands and he is in the driver seat .All the numbers in the world dont matter when he is in control..(((hugs)))

The great thing about being a brit or maybe it is the bad thing about being a brit is we don\'t have such wonderful words as Lovenox. Sometimes on the site have to work out what it means when our medication terms our different. However, I know the shots you mean and they are tiresome to say the least. Hopefully you will come off them shortly once all your procedures are out of the way and your INR goes back up.
There seems to be no right or wrong way with INRs as there are so many variable factors-I mean we can\'t eat the same food, drink the same drink and expend the same energy avery day, which would be the only way it would be likely to remain stable.
Whilst it is a worry for you when you drop to a lower level, the previous comment is right, the blood is thinned to a good degree-in reality being at 1.9 only means that the blood takes 1.9 times as long to clot as the next person, so if it is 2.3, then it\'s not that much different to me. I know this is probably a simple way of looking at it, but it is the only sane way I can, otherwise it would drive you mad.
I think you have to trust the medical fraternity to help you manage this even if they appear to have let us down before. Its the only way to sanely live. Hugs and best wishes
