Good Food Stamps news

Today I got out of the house and went to the food stamps office. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was in a good mood, so the hour long wait wans't a problem for me. I waited for an hour for them to scan in some documents and have them tell me I needed to talk to someone on the phone to get the fastest service, so then I waited an hour to get on the phone and waited for 20 minutes to talk to someone. Although that might sound bad, it wasn't. I have been trying to get someone on that line for months, and to be able to talk to someone after only a half hour wasn't too bad at all. Everyone says to go in the morning, that it's the best time, but I went at noon and it wasn't bad. I shouldn't have to go back there for a while. I found out I get more food stamps starting next month because they messed up- they thought I was going to be getting SSI and SSDI which would have qualified me for $6 in food stamps, but since I'm only getting SSDI I get about $50 instead. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's better than nothing.
Tomorrow I have my visit with my psych doctor. I will see how it goes, whether he thinks I need more Depakote or if I just need more time for it to work. I'm going to ask him to change the Risperdal as well- take 1mg in the morning and 2mg at night. I'm still hallucinating a bit, and I know with just taking Seroquel at night I hallucinated, but taking the XR version of it helped since it was still in my system at night. I think the Risperdal might be the same way. It would explain why I hallucinate a lot at night- the drugs wear off by then. I didn't take them in the morning before because they would make me sleepy. I have the time to get used to them now. It may mean I will be sleeping more, but I just have to fight harder. I have to fight- it gives me something to do. That's one of the reasons I went to the food stamps office today- to do something.
I'm upping my mood to good, since I got a decent amount of sleep last night (around 9 hours) and didn't have problems at the office today waiting or anything. Maybe it's the coffee I drank, I don't know. I just know I feel good right now, so I'm going to go with that. If I was hypomanic, I think I would have gotten annoyed waiting at the office for the 2 hours I was there, but I made the best of it.
Food: I was good on food today. I had oatmeal for breakfast, chicken, rice and beans for lunch and regular dinner. I've been making progress on eating less, which is good, and I'm staying in my calorie range. I hope to lose more weight soon. I'm kinda on a beans kick, I want lots of beans, so I might go to the store tomorrow and get some more. I should learn how to make them myself instead of buying them canned, but still they have protein and stuff and are yummy.
