Good and bad days

Things have been going along. That's the best I can say for now. Some good and some bad ... I can relate to someone who was saying they couldn't get motivated to do some cleanup ... I need to do the basement, but too overwhelming at the moment. A rotor broke on my car the other day. I could hear the brakes grinding and the light came on. I'm delivering papers for extra $$$, so I figured, weird, but they must be going a lot faster than I thought. That was when I was doing the route. So I came back to the house, hoping if I added more brake fluid, I could limp along and get done, then deal with everything. It didn't work ... went in to ask my oldest if I could borrow her car for a while (she's been good about that in past a couple of times) ... but lately, she isn't wanting to talk and tells me, "You're so annoying". When I started to ask, I saw her roll her eyes in the mirror, so then I just said never mind. Then it was off to the races ... don't even want to think of it. We are out in the middle of nowhere ... I was crying, trying to decide if I should try to rent a car (but how to get there? and how to afford it?). She finally called her father and asked him to help me, because she was going to a friend's volleyball game and I wasn't "respecting her plans". Whatever. So I got done, next morning I got the pads and fluid, got the car up and THEN found out about the broken rotor. Oh, joy!! I just replaced those and the calipers in August. So got new rotors and put those on.So today, I'm driving and thought I had a flat tire (which I did about 2 weeks ago) on my new tire. No. Just all the lug nuts coming loose ... one was GONE. A lug shaft was broken off as well. They kept coming loose after being retightened, so more parts and such ...Yesterday, got an e-mail that I overdrafted 5 times. That was nice ... apparently, they don't give you full credit for a deposit until God knows when (I know they put holds on large deposits), also they run the transactions from largest to smallest. Had they done the opposite, I would have had 1 overdraft. And I don't think I should have had any ... I'm irked at being charged $37.50 for each of several  $2 - $3 transactions. They took off one by phone, and told me to go into a branch about removing another. Sure, when I can drive my car ... but I intend to follow up on that ... pointing out that they might as well get a gun and mug me because it's so obvious that they're putting the transactions in order large to small to favor the bank ... I had funds in 2 savings accounts and my overdraft fund ... but I'll save the gun stuff til I see how it goes. So, had to call BUFU to get a jack, etc (mine broke when the car rolled off the other day). Our daughters came home when he was here; the younger screamed at him b/c he said something about not having $$$.  She came in and screamed at him about his "slut" and how if he wasn't out doing whatever, we'd be financially secure. She yelled at me because I "treated him like shit" before (I wouldn't say that, but I wasn't June Cleaver, that's for sure.) Then I had to get between them. He kept saying he wants her out once she graduates (June). Personally, I think it's more about the fact that she won't have any more checks coming in; she pointed out that she wanted gas money for having taken him somewhere and she's a little too much like me - she's not pretending that things are hunky dory and making him out to be "OK" - I told him she was right about quite a bit. At least he had the good grace to slink out of here like his lying friend did the night of the fire - that was the guy that slammed down the phone on me when I called him out for lying to us a whole weekend when BUFU disappeared - so I gave him the rest of the paragraph he couldn't handle a year late. On a better note, at least I am getting more REAL communication with our daughters. I am glad to know that they can see through "another man's wife". That there's understanding of some of the problems these two sleazebuckets and their selfish indulgence have caused. I also sent my younger daughter to a different therapist. He works at the same place I go ... it's a drive (40 miles), but I took a class with him back in 2003; knew he works with teens/young adults, direct, sort of WYSIWYG- no "image" thing going on and had a feeling she might click better with him. I had brought it up for her to consider and she decided to go this past week. I'm curious, but I've decided not to pry. She wasn't feeling a lot of confidence with the young woman she was seeing, so hopefully, this will work better for her. BUT, I finally bit the bullet and got some things on-line and made some sales (yeay!). I have to pack up about 5 things to ship tonight (and the past month has been busy). Not major money, but every little helps ... I am looking forward to getting away from the middle of nowhere ... just hate it that it's "too soon" to make some solid plans, have some hopes, etc. But everyday is a little bit closer than yesterday was!  Received a check that I am going to take to him at work so he can sign it ... for my stuff that got burned up. And let him know I need his income info to do taxes and FAFSA. Hopefully, the probs with the car will settle down; there is work that I need to do/get done, so this brake/wheel thing is not helping!
