You know you’ll be getting a top-notch cup of locally brewed Blackboard Coffee and the baristas certainly know their way around coffee—expect quality latte art here. Once you’ve had your caffeine fix, tuck into a sumptuous array of baked goods, gourmet sandwiches and bagels or indulge in one of their signature smashed avos.
These guys not only offer all your classic café needs – with a healthy twist of course – they also have an entirely separate smoothie and açai bowl menu, taking their niche seriously. A-hole-in-the-wall local fave located under the Mermaid SLSC, this is one of Mermaid’s most underrated spots. Known for their incredible smoothies and their housemade, super-cheesy toasties, Rafiki is packed day in, day out by local fitness fanatics and some of the cutest doggo’s you’ll ever see! If you’re after the perfect – but healthy – takeaway treat, this one can’t be beat. In the midst of Miami’s manufacturing compound, Daymaker is the perfect breath of fresh air. Effortlessly blending barn house chic with the industrial elements of its surrounds, you’re sure to feel instantly relaxed as soon as you enter through their doors.

A colourful new juice bar opened up down Coolangatta way not long ago and it’s the cafe near ashmore perfect place to get on the healthy eating train ahead of summer. Italian for coffee house, Merlo’s Torrefazione is a haven of all things coffee and features an in-store air roaster, meaning a constant steady flow of the freshest espresso. You can still expect the same five-star Blackboard Coffee but this time you can sit down in a sweet space to enjoy it, along with some mouthwatering baked treats and gourmet toasties. Up Paradise Point way a healthy, newplant-based cafeopened much to the delight of locals and they are serving up some absolutely beautiful treats.

Robina gained a pretty new brunch spot in the form ofParkway Coffee, by the gals at Third Base in Palm Beach and it comes with the same community feels, menu packed with goodness and of course, excellent coffee.
