"Going On"

Good Morning to all my Sisters of the Heart,
I have exciting news to share and want you to be among the first to know.  I have finished the short book called "Going On" that I have been working on for the past several years and Mr. L.J. (our dear Joanie's husband) has just made it available on our FMO website!  I would be honored if you'd check it out for it is through my association with all of you that I found the courage to write about my personal journey during the years I've been living on this planet without my son Max.
And if you find any words of comfort or feel you know someone who would be helped by reading "Going On" - please feel free to share it with them! "Going On" and its message of hope is Max's and my gift to you and your loved ones.
To see "Going On" for yourself, simply do this:
1. Go to the ForMomsOnly website at www.formomsonly.org
2. Once on the home page, look for the pink horizontal "bar" at the top of the page.  Hover the mouse over the tab on the far right that says "more" and a drop down box will appear.
3. Click on "Recommended Resources" found in the drop down box and you'll find "Going On" there!
And now, just like you'd find on Amazon (LOL),here's a paragraph from the book that embodies its message.  I hope reading "Going On" gives you hope, connection and courage and that in some small way it brightens your day.
With love and thanks for all you've done for me,
Gari

Excerpt from "Going On"

"I now know what heartbreak is. Realizing its inescapable nature in the life of a PDC (Parent of a Deceased Child), I’ve come to see it not as the end of the road and not as the elimination of hope. But rather, heartbreak is the close embrace of the essence and emotion of what we have lost. Heartbreak is the cost of loving deeply and feeling that love disappear for a time. Becoming lost in sadness. But I now know with the strongest of convictions that love is the deepest emotion we have and that it endures and always outlasts heartbreak and loss. Love is immortal. And because of this fact, I’m discovering an invincible light inside myself that outshines the darkness of loss."

YIPPEE, YAHOO and shout it from the rooftops! It is a book filled with such raw wisdom, love, truth, healing and hope dearest Gari. You can be so immensely proud that you have helped me and will be doing that for countless others known and unknown. I have already sent the book traveling and will continue to.

Thank you, thank YOU for sharing the deepest places of your heart with us in your book.

Love to the MAX and continued healing for each of us. It is possible even when I know I deemed it not... It is... This book is a testament to your ongoing interior work and your keeping your heart unarmored and open to the sorrow, yet also to the joy and peace filled moments which can and do come again.

With love and heartfelt happy dancing that your \"baby\" is birthed and out there.

XO Joanie

I read Going On yesterday and felt blessed many times in the reading. I wrote a message with some of my thoughts about it on the discussion post that Joanie had posted. I had not checked out the Resources option on the FMO site so that was yet another blessing. I do thank you sincerely for sharing. I found so much of what you wrote did indeed echo our hearts. Hugs to you and Max. Elissa and Cara
