Going to Scarboro today

I have a follow up with the surgeon that screwed rods to my spine today. It is over a 2 hour ride to get there, so I have to leave really soon. The appointment is for only a few minutes, so the day trip is kind of irritating - there is apparently no one within 100 miles of where I live that does this type of thing.
I'm not really surprised, because there doesn't seem to be anyone around here that does anything with any efficiency. Country living!
I don't like traveling to places I don't know - sets the panic in, but the medication given to me for the panic makes me unable to drive. So, I have to go without.
After this visit, I will know if I have to change primary care physicians right away or try to work with this one. She's upset me each time that I've seen her, and she doesn't listen: she usually doesn't even look at me (I doubt she'd recognize me if she ran in to me somewhere else).
I hope the surgeon can help with the pain in my leg or the headaches. He is, after all, a neurosurgeon!
