God Works Through People, Once Again!!
Teri, I want to thank you for sharing the book "The Spirit Whisperer" by John Holland.
When we say God works through people, it amazes me again how true it is...
John Holland, happens to be in the next town over from where I grew up, Exeter N.H..
I went to High School in Exeter N.H... My last job I worked at, name Riverwoods Retirement Home, in Exeter N.H.. The rich ederly people from all over the United States choose to go there for the rest of their life.. It is quite the place...I worked in the Hair salon there..One of my clients name was "Edie Holland", a 93 year old ederly women.. She came in about every 6 weeks for a Haircut.. I heard she was quite the women in her day, a very busy business women...They named a road in Exeter, N.H. called "Hollands way"...
I am wondering if "Edie Holland" is "John Holland's" mother??? YA!!! Quite interesting!!! I'm going to have to contact him...Wow!
Another thing that makes me wonder, Edie Holland's daughter use to come into the salon every so often to thank me for doing her Moms hair..I can't remember her daughters name...But ANYWAY, Mrs Holland's daughter knew about my son Ryan passing over to the other side...This was at the beginning when everything was so Raw and Painful for me...Going through the Grieving process and all...
Mrs Holland was a serious women, dry sense of humor, doesn't say much about anything...Her daughter and I would have our little talks, when her mom was out of the room... She knew the pain I was going through, with the death of Ryan...She said " Well she only could speak for her mom, she told me, her Mom, Mrs Holland, had lost 2 sons, they both died when they turned 20yrs old, at two different times... I held on to my heart as she was telling me... She said the first son who turned 20, had a car accident, he got decapatated...The other son died in a house fire, when he was 20... I couldn't fhathom, so so sad...I asked if her Mom talks about it? She said no, she is alittle senile..She doesn't talk about it.. OH, I just remembered, the daughters name it is "Janet" ya thats it...SOOOO NOW I need to know if there is a connection there???? WoW, Huh!! Yep, I need to check it out!!lol
As I was typing this, I heard the mail man come. I walked outside to get the mail.. My cousin Kathy pulled in my yard as I was walking out to the mail box...Kathy asked me what I was doing today, I had to tell her this story. My cousin said' John Holland the medium... She said "OMG, I helped clean his house with her friend Kevin", maybe about a year ago...NOW, Again God Works through People!!! She said there may be a IN... John loves Kevin..
Why I say this, how God works through people? Look how this started... First the Group ForMomsOnly on DS... The FMO founder "Barbara Smith, (Evans Mom)....Which without our Barbara, this all wouldn't BE.. GOD WORKS THROUGH PEOPLE!!
Teri, (RememberKala) Recieved a recommendation from Joanne, (munrogirl) about the book "The Spirit Whisperer" (chronicles of a medium) by: "John Holland"..............
Of course I had to run out to buy it......Glad I did..
Also the funny thing in the excitement I felt, as all this was going through my head.. I looked up on my mirror in my bedroom was the picture of Teri, Joanne and me, laughing our heads off... Kelly (misshim) sent me the picture in the mail, after the retreat in Gatlinburg...
The book was awesome!! Anyway I think I might contact John Holland...What do you think?? Go For It! I've been wanting to see a medium for quite sometime.....
These people may not be his family, maybe related... but its a good way to call him or email him..........
