God's Grace IS sufficient

Well, I prayed for God to help me understand His grace towards me as my Father and the grace I receive as His child.  Well, He let me know in about 2 wks lessons would begin.  I look forward to these "lessons" but dread them as well.  Sort of like having to do a billion sit ups, it's not fun while you're doing them but after it's over, you're glad you learned what you learned. Ok, soon as God said it was a go on the lesson, this is what has occurred:1 - furnace went out.2 - son's asthma is flaring and out of control3 - got a bad call regarding someone's health that it may be cancer4 - furnace needs replaced at a cost of $3000-$35005 - daughter calls tells me she is pregnant (both happy and upset as she isn't living the way I      raised her, but happy at the thought of a grandchild, but worried because of her health issues,      well you know that trip)6 - Furnace man called and can't come until tomorrow to give an exact estimate and even if we      agree, furnace won't be installed until 1st part of next week.  So cooking stove for heat and          small heaters.7 - Hubby not a christian and freaking over the money.  Oddly, I am calm as I told him "My              Father has gold streets and mansions.  He said He'd supply my needs and I need a furnace.      Besides with gold streets & mansions, I think He can afford a furnace."  He thinks I'm nuts or      course, this is not the first time he thinks I'm nuts and furthermore, my being calm is a              testament to my belief, YES?8 - My "me" day to catch up on all my studying (Discipleship course, AACC Counseling course,        Bible study) got shot as I had sick people all around me and no me time to even get to the        potty!!  ROFLOL BUT AGAIN - GOD's GRACE IS SUFFICIENT!  He's never let me down, He's never left me alone, and this is going to be a fantastic revelation when the "lessons" are over.  Can hardly wait!  I  just love seeing my Father in action flexing His Almightiness!!! God is Good all the time! Hallelujah and Praise be to God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit!  ROCK ON!

Amen. Preach it Sister. If GOD can create heaven and earth, he can certainly help with a furnace.

Remind your husband of the story of David and Goliath. David didn\'t worry about how he was going to slay the Giant Philistine, he just bragged over and over about the power of the God of the israelites.... Rock on God! (no pun inteneded, but it is funny...giggle)

Dear NAN - Hubby doesn\'t do the \"religion\" talk. I get in a word or two where & when I can......He\'ll see and then I can smirk, with the right attitude of course, and say, \"See MY FATHER IS TO ABLE.\" and then walk off head held high.

one of my favorite stories in the bible comes out of Matthew chapter 6: 25-34. it talks about do not worry and if God takes care of the birds in the air are you not much more valuable than they? and that is also where the verse, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself\" comes from. LOVE it LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! :) you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Also will be praying for your daughter and the friend that may have cancer. With your daughters pregnency just need to realize God causes everything to happe for a reason, God dont make no junk and to just let it go and let God, he has a devine purpose for that I am sure :) I hope things get better for you. Seems like you are already viewing everything as a positive thing and I definately admire that! :) keep your head held high! :) Your doing great!!

Dear SEARCHING & HAYES 77 - Yep, told hubby that at my age I calculated that our 1st grandchild will be 3 yrs then the daughter\'s newborn. I freaked a bit and said \"I\'m too old for a 3 yr old & a newborn!\" However, I KNOW that MY FATHER will give me the grace & strength to do whatever He has for me to do. He promises and He never fails or lies. So, I need not worry about life\'s storms because I know the One who can say \"PEACE! BE STILL!\" and calm the waters that rage.
