God\'s Blessings Abound

This past week has been an adventure. God certainly works in amazing ways. Two years ago our elderly neighbor went to a nursing home to have intensive physical therepy on her knees. Before then my husband and I would help her our with the mail ad garbage. I use to be a personal care aide and have always been friends with older people. My husband says it's a gift. Anyway, after she moved, we watched the house for the family. Last weekend, her family gave us a whole bunch of furniture. What they did't take themselves, they were going to donate but there was so much left that when I stopped to say hi and check out the house they offered for us to take whatever we wanted. We also live in a two bedroom 1025 sq. ft. house with three kids and five pets. When I went over to say "Hi" I just wanted to check out the house and see if it would be a good option for our family. We got to talking and they offered us first refusal. Now, if we could get a good loan I think we would be able to do it. My brother would buy our place and either my grandma and/or he would live here. It would be perfect for her because now she lives on the other side of town. Her utility bills really cause her a financial struggle in the winter. Plus this way as she gets older and might need a little bit of help we would be right next door. The chance to have a more active relationship with my grandma would be a Godsend. Please sent good thoughts our way and if you happen to be a prayer, prayers wouldn't hurt.
