God, please help me....
Father, my dear Papa, I'm so hurt right now and overwhelmed. The pain hurts to breathe. I feel as if my heart will burst the pain is so bad. My friend, my dear beloved friend, she is so hurt and I cannot help. I can know she is suffering and I cannot stop it or fix it. Father, I've always been there when she needed me and now, distance seperates us as she goes to say her good-byes to her husband. She will bring him back here to again say her good-byes and then I can stand beside her to hold her up in support. Papa, You know what all we have been through together, never leaving each other to hang out to dry regardless of where the other was in their life. We've been each other's pillar of strength through many deaths, her parents, my dad, my sister, my grandparents, her severe illnesses and my severe illnesses. Always there, holding each other up in prayer, with hugs and unconditional love. No, we did not always agree and stated so as true friends. But regardless of whether we agreed, we never left the other's back unprotected. You messed with one, you messed with the other. Papa, I know Kenny is better with you. Really. I believe with all my heart You were merciful and loving and kind to remove him from the horrible decision he couldn't make. Thank you for that. You always take care of Your children, even when we don't understand the why. That's why You gave me the poem of Life's Puzzle Pieces, didn't You? Thank you for that. It brings me comfort. I loved Kenny as much as I loved Donna. I would've given him my kidney if it would've helped. Donna knew I wasn't joking. I didn't care if people thought I was crazy. That's what true friends do....they don't back down or leave when things get tight. They cover your back and help how they can. No judgements, no condemnation, correction yes, but always unconditional love. Oh, Papa! How can I bear this?! My heart is breaking! I know You understand this grief as I walk through this valley with my friend as well as walking it alone. I cannot walk in her shoes, but I can understand and feel her sorrow. Oh, Papa! I now think of You and the pain You suffered to watch Your Son die. I'm sorry for that pain too. Although, again, I could not have changed that. However, again, I thank You for it. Papa, You understand. Your word is true when You state "You do not have a high priest who cannot understand." Jesus' heart broke for His friends for He knew the pain they would go through as well as His own. Oh, Papa, be with Donna and her family. Let Your sweet peace and love blanket them so overwhelmingly that they feel the weight of it. Whisper in their ears each night as they sleep, softly stroke each of Your children's heads with Your tender touch, gently kiss each one's brow and let them know beyond all doubt You are there, they are not forsaken, and that as Your word says, You will bind up their wounds and heal them. Papa, I ask all these things in the name of Your Beloved Son, Christ Jesus. Thank You for loving each of Your children, providing for each of us, and never leaving us. Thank You in all things, I still give You praise. I love You. Amen
