God never promised us life would be easy

Someone once told me that everything you go through in this life is to prepare you for something down the road.  Hmmmm, 5 years ago my beautiful mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She had a double mastectomy and though times were tough, she is a surviver.  That took a lot out of me.   3 years ago my life was shaken by my sweet sweet never sick dad having to have triple by pass surgery to safe his life.  That took a lot out of me at the time but the surgery was successful and my dad is still going strong.  One year later my younger sister became sick and I had to watch her die in the hospital.  That really took a lot out of me. Then that fateful day 9/8/2011 the day after my 31st anniversary, God called my beloved David home.  I didn't think I would survive that but I did  Looking back now I wonder if all of that was to prepare me for the news I got yesterday.  My beautiful 28 year old daughter who has a 2 year old and a 1 month old baby was told she needs a heart transplant.  To look at her you would never know.  She's the picture of perfect health but her tests tell otherwise.  Those of you who have children know you would die to protect them anyway possible.  Well, dying won't protect her but I sure feel helpless especially since I don't have David to comfort me and assure me everything will be alright like he so many times did.  He just had a way of calming the storme in my life and I miss that soooooooo much!  I MISS HIM soooooooo much.  Am I better prepared to handle what is being put before me?  Have all these trials been to prepare me for this?  I think so.  For some strange reason I have a real peace about it  I use to totally freak out about bad news but now it just seems like a big part of life.  it is what it is. For the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations. Ps.100:5
