God is my Strength when dealing with Anxiety
I am just me. The person God made me. I was born with Anxiety and when I broke (like Humpty Dumpty), my Anxiety became much more than what it was.
God knows and understands where I am at - that I have anxiety. But He also gives me strength each day to help me overcome it in some little way. One of the ways that He helps me Overcome is by working on My Scripture verse for today. My scripture verse was picked today because this is the 21st of January so Psalms 21:1.
Psalms 21:1 Encourage2Mil's verse that she puts together from studying many different Bibles; Concordance; References; Dictonary, etc. She uses them to provide her strenght of today and also to rejoice in the Lord.
O Lord, We rejoice in the Your strength and royalty which you have made us. You brighten our lives. We sing of that strength that is Your mighty Force, Boldness, Security, Power, Majesty, Refuge, Stronghold and Praise that You give to us. We take great delight in your victory, in your aid, deliverance and Salvation. Oh how we wholly, involving us totally, very greatly rejoice in You. You spin us around under the great influence of joyful emotion. Oh Lord, the Self-Existent Eternal Jehovah, You are the God who shows us loving kindness.
I really like this verse. It says that God brightens our lives and I KNOW that to be true. When I am discouraged and depressed, even though I have electrical light and daylight, my life seems black. But if I trust in God, he brightens my life! I am not left in complete darkness. Sometimes it is only a little and sometimes, like today it is a lot.
God gives us Strength. Jesus said that God was HIS strength so how can God not be ours if we are truely following Jesus?
I like the part in the verse that talks about God spinning us around under the great influence of joyful emotion! When I am filled with Anxiety, Going to God is the only way I can cope. And God does spin me around from Anxiety to Hope.
Oh, how I love God! Don't You?
