Goal Poem #3
Anger and rage, were filled deep within youMy memory is vague but i still recall what youd doUndeserved beatings, all through the night,You and mom yelling, screaming, beginning to fight.Words so hateful would roll from off your tongue,It was so bitter what you said, it piericed and stung. As you began to boil over, bubble more and more with hateYoud aim at mothers head as you threw the dinner plate. You'd became more aggressive, and youd go for the knivesMom and i would run to the bedroom, praying for our lives. She couldnt call for help, for you ripped the phone from the wall We were crying as we heard your footsteps coming down the hall.
There is still more that i will tell, but ill leave it for another dayJust know actions are always remembered, by what you do and say.

that is incredible
No child nor woman should ever have to deal with this sort of thing. It\'s sad that a flower as precious as you had to deal with this so young in life. But in writing about it you are releasing the negative energy from your heart. Please don\'t ever stop writing. Even once the negatives are gone you will still be able to touch others in a different way with your writings. Beleive me I know.
My heart goes out to you. Please take care
I was the youngest so the beatings went to my older brothers. There is a 9 year gap between myself and the next one up making me the only one in the house....untold times I cried myself to sleep while they argued...I could hear mom throw things at my drunken father....a 6 year old should not cry himself to sleep thinking \"I will never do this to a kid\"
Thanks Cougar, the poem tells the story of how my father was full of bitterness. As he has became more ill in age, he isn\'t able to do what he use too but now he is more emotionally and psychologically abusive. I wish that one day he would see what he has done and what he continues too do and try to make a change. Sadly, i don\'t see that ever happening. :/
Durl, I sometimes wonder how i would\'ve blossomed if i had not gone through all of that. Though i hated it so very much i think because of it, it has made me have more compassionate and understanding for the way others feel. You\'re right too, no one should ever have to live a life like that. By writing it is beginning to help me see and remember things, I feel some of the heaviness being released, but i still have a long ways too go. Thanks for the encouragement and for your friendship. :)
FLHam, Your always so devoted too making sure you encourage me, and i cant thank you enough. You truly are a wonderful friend. :)
My heart goes out too you Donnyoh,a child at any age should not be witness to violence or abuse, but so many children are. Any abuse that ever happened will leave scars on our soul forever. The scars through bear witness that we\'ve been through battle and that we are more strong then we were before. I encourage you that if your still feeling the pain the pain too talk about more, that is what is helping me.
