Goal Poem #1
My memory has always kept so much away from me,I remember nothing even when i was the age of three.
I have no rememberance til nearly reaching the age of six,Then all the bad began to pile on top of me like a wall of bricks.
I was molested by my father, but nobody was to ever know,I told my mother, she brushed it off and forgot about it though.
Since then whatever happened, i would just keep too myself,I wouldnt want to tell of or place my burdens on somebody else.
It hasnt been until now, nearly eighteen years, or even moreI'll finally open up too the world, wishing to heal my inner core

I wrote a poem about a little girl that was abused. I will post it in my journal. I\'ve shared it with quiet a few lady friends in the groups. And got some nice replies. One lady came back with a reply and said that little girl was her.
It is sad when children are abused for any kind of reason. I guess I will never understand what makes one human being do that to another. It this wasn\'t just a poem I am so sorry you had to deal with this alone. Remember you are among friends in the group we are in together. So say what ever u like or what ever may be bothering you. hugs Durl
Durl,
I read your poem and i must say that the little girl and myself share many similarities. I do feel for her very innocent soul and I do know the angels will always be there to protect her from the cruelty in this world. ~
All my goal poems are about myself, it is how i will share many of the deep dark secrets that dwell within my heart, that nobody or very few know about. I decided that since i\'m here and looking for support, that i also need to be honest and release what really has always bothered me and felt to shameful to speak about.
Corner, My heart goes out to you, and I truly hope that your writing and sharing allow you to be free of some of the pain you anguish put upon you. I will continue watch and read each entry. Please take care -- Bill
I too put a lot of myself in my poetry. Seems it\'s when I can be open and honest with myself about those feelings. In short poetry has helped with my healing. As I\'m sure it has and will with yours.
