Glad to be alive

I'm glad to be alive today.  Things were not going well for me and I couldn't distract my mind from the horrors and demons in my head.  Finally a suicide attempt that led to shredding my right arm with a razor blade.  I guess I'm fortunate to have become nauseous at the sight of all the blood.  It drove me to stop cutting and go for help which landed me in the hospital for a week.  Thank God for my supportive wife who understands as much as she can about my pain.  New meds and a break in the hospital have done wonders for me.  It was just what I needed!!  On Seroquel now for about three weeks and it seems to be doing it's job along with the Effexor.  I'm glad to be alive today.
