Ghosts in the Yard...
All of the fruit trees are covered in sheets, the blueberry bushes are also covered, and the plants on the back deck are up next to the house... The forecast is for 34 degrees in the morning in the city, cooler in the farmland. Last year, we lost both cherry trees to a late frost, and I have no intention of repeating that exercise... I had a really good day even though I was freezing all day long. I finished another "Chicken Book", and this one I actually purchased. I'm glad to have one that I will be able to keep as a reference because we all know MS brains and memory... (Like, yeah, right..."Memory Sucks") It was a surprisingly good energy day! That last burst when I was out covering trees was amazing. Of course, I got angry that I was getting no help... (Ok, I was pissed and singing Helen Ready, "I Am Woman".) The seedlings continue to flourish and will be repotted into larger cups tomorrow or the next day. May have to make a town run tomorrow for milk and bread--we'll see if the man comes up with some magickal money... LOL

We had snow today in the uk.First time at this time of year for 50 years in this town.Its rare we get snow anyway.Your farm will be great come summer.Keep up the good work.xx
Strange weather we have around this world. One minute its snowing, then it gets warm and then we go back to cold. It wouldnt have anything to to with Global Warming would it? Who knows.. It sounds like your still busy as a beaver in your garden. Enjoy!! LOL Mary xxxooo

Hey Chickie Momma......I made it!!! Glad that is over with. This weather is crazy and my apple trees have been blooming now for about 4 days so they are on their own. The pears finished up last week so I think they will be fine. Not sure what else is out there other then 3 foot tall grass!!!
I hope that everything pulls through for you and I know how much you are looking forward to everything. Sounds like the seedlings are coming along nicely. Well I hope we get to catch up soon. I\'m SO READY FOR LIFE TO GO BACK TO NORMAL!!

i\'m so very sorry, that you lost both cherry tree crops last year. hopefully, lots of blossoms and plenty of crops this year, to enjoy. my friend HelenC has a cherry tree, and i\'ve always wanted to grow one. i imagine, that cherrys can be frozen (canned). We didn\'t recieve frost. i was just outside, and it\'s sunny ,and warming up. Plants are happy ,trees are happy, and i removed tarp off organic gardening area, so the plants can soak up sunshine ,and this afternoon will cover area with tarp again, and will hopefully be able to keep in all the heat they soaked up from the sun. :)

amazing what we as a whole have done to the ozone isnt it?? and just now realinzing what effect it has on climate change..sigh..now that it is almost to late..we are educating the younger generation and ourselves on how to save the planet for our children and theirs...smile..i hope they listen...sigh..

Some of you may have entered Harvard Yard today through the Meyer Gate, over to my right, which leads across to the Science Centre and Memorial Hall. There is a plaque there, with a quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson describing a Harvard Jubilee in 1836.
