Getting there
Hi everyone. I've not been on to do an update in a while because I finally got admitted to hospital for inpatient care on the 29th January. It was so scary, and at first I just denied my fears and smiled and tried to tell everyone what I thought they wanted to hear. But you can't deny your feelings forever and the truth of my problem is now starting to come to the surface. This sounds negative, but without knowing what my problems and fears are how could I solve them? It's challenging and scary, but also exciting and empowering because I can feel the real me starting to return, and my life building beneath me, a real life not an eating disorder! I am still a patient and have been told I could be for a while. The road is long and hard, but I truly believe it is worth it. When the illness has got to a serious point I think inpatient care is the only way to overcome it, I would tell anyone who has been offered the help to grab it with both hands. Yes it's scary, but the alternative is much worse. Let others help you until you are strong enough to help yourself. Theres a world out there!
