Getting Started
From August of last year until now, I have been lost. Hubby lost 4 jobs during that time and my oldest daughter died on Thanksgiving after having been on hospice for only 5 1/2 weeks. I handled everything involving my daughter long distance since I can't travel due to health issues. Hubby thought my attention should have been on him. Being pulled in two different directions was challenging and in the process, I somehow lost myself. Now I am back to work (which hubby hates). I am so lucky to have a job at 67 years old where I am doing something useful even though I don't get around well. I work in Cyber Fraud. No! I am not the woman on CSI CYBER. Rather, I am the one sitting in the basement of a bank with 14 college age kids that all call my Grannie, trying to be sure that no one is stealing your debit or credit card numbers. Most people would find this boring. But if you have ever had your identity stolen, it is not funny at all. When I am not doing that, I am watching social media for inappropriate activity that needs to be stopped. Lots of teenagers (and many younger than that) have no idea that what they are posting is out there forever. Too many parents are forced to work long hours and cannot supervise their kids activities on the web. Our church asked parents if they wanted someone to watch their kids activities. Collectively, they pay me. So what I make on there varies. But maybe if I can save one kid from ruining their lives, it's worth it. Of course the kids have no idea who is doing it, only that they are being monitored and it does NOT make them happy. But I love what I do and I can do it at any hour of the day or night. It is a very complex set-up but very interesting. Now - to just get back to losing weight while sitting on my butt so much! LOL
