Getting Senile?
It is 48 degrees today in the Midwest. It's overcast with a 12mph wind. I got on my Harley, went to the local gas station and filled up. I then rode approx. 35 miles to a small town where there was a motorcycle rally going on from 10 am to 4 pm. It was a bit cool but, I was dressed for it except my face. I forgot to check to see if my face mask was in the saddle bags so, I stopped about 12 miles from where I lived and checked the saddle bags, no face mask. No big deal, my face has survived rain and hail before so, I continued on my ride. I hadn't seen any motorcycles coming or going anywhere. I never saw anyone on a motorcycle today, except me.
When I got to where the rally was supposed to be, there was no-one there. I began to wonder what was going on then, it hit me. The rally is in May, not April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I turned around and made the 35 mile trip back home, disgusted and also laughing at myself. When I arrived and announced to my wife what I had done, she just shook her head and said, "well for Heaven's sake, all that for nothing". I just laughed and said it was a nice ride anyway.
I have always been one to be prompt at wherever I am supposed to be. Whether it is a revival I am preaching, attending a special service at another church, doing a wedding or a funeral, I am always early. My thought has always been "I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late" but, I must admit, a month early is a bit much.LOL!!!!!!

Pee Wee, I am cracking up. Yep, you were early. You silly. I\'m still glad you got out and rode your bike. Love you silly!
That sounds like something I would do, Yep we must be truly brother and sister.... I am so glad that you could find humor in it all, I sometimes get stuck with that if it happens to be about me.... I do believe you had ample fresh air that day !!!!
OH PEEWEE, I AM SO SORRY THAT I AM RUBBING OFF ON YOU. THAT IS EXACTLY SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE DONE. I AM GLAD THAT YOU COULD LAUGH ABOUT IT. I KNOW ITS BEEN REALLY COOL LATELY SO I BET YOUR FACE WAS QUITE COLD. SORRY, BUT I AM OVER HERE LAUGHING ABOUT THIS. ITS SO NICE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES THOSE KIND OF THINGS. JUST TOO FUNNY. COULD YOU DO ME A FAVOR AND GET SOME WARM WEATHER OVER THERE AND SEND IT IN MY DIRECTION PLEASE???? THIS COOL AIR IS MAKING ME HURT. THANK YOU, I WOULD APPRECIATE THAT VERY MUCH LOL
Pee Wee...I am also an early arrival, too...I take the same approach to being there as you do. I hate being late for anything...and I hate it when others are late, as well. NOW, that was funny...can we call it a \"senior moment\" ???? I am with you on that one, too.....we just have to laugh and move on.....hugs, dale..brandon\'s mom
