Getting ready for IUI #4
So AF started today. Doing okay, actually didn't even cry and that's probably because I let it out over the weekend because I knew it was coming.
Now I have to decide if I should get another saline sono done which if I did they would have to put me on BCP (not thrilled about that and not really sure how that works either) so that I could continue with the injectables so I won't have to skip this cycle. Before leaving my old RE (URANJ) they did a saline sono and hysteroscopy the very next day because the saline sono was inconclusive. The results they gave me for the hysteroscopy did not sound very reassuring. They said okay, looks like everything is okay...looks? Iis it or isn't it?
The following week I met with the new RE and as soon as he did the u/s he said it looks like you have a polyp and I told him I just got checked and they said everything looked good. Then during my cycle every RE I met with kept saying they saw it and that if I do not get pregnant to discuss getting another sono done. UGH!
Have any of you ladies did the saline sono BCp and then injectables? I know it's something I should just do again because if Gary's sperm is actually fertilizing my egg if there is a polyp it's all pointless because the egg won't be able to implant with this polyp...right?
I hate having to make decisions - I just want to be told what to do in areas like this.

Sorry about that bitch AF. I have not done a saline sono with bcp or injectables, so I cannot answer there, but I do know that if you have polyps or fibroids, there is a chance nothing will implant because of them (this is why I am doing the hysteroscopy as soon as AF shows). It\'s so hard to have to keep making decisions about all this stuff....its too overwhelming. Hang in there and good luck. I\'m sure whatever you decide will be the right thing. Hoping this next cycle brings you a BFP!
Thanks :) I think I\'m going to go with the saline - bcp and the injectables. The nurse is waiting to hear back from my Dr. just in case he recommends something else. I might as well just do it again because if its there lets just get rid of it once and for all.
I hope your hysteroscopy goes well. I\'m sure you are very anxious to start the next step.
That is strange they are wanting to put you on BCP for the saline. All 3 of my salines just had to be between certain days of my cycle and one of them I was on femara. So maybe the BCP are just for you to start injectables, which my Dr did not require either. But typically they put you on BCP pills to quiet you ovaries and to have control over your cycle, so I am guessing thats what they are doing.
I would say that doing another saline would be worth it so they can really look at what is going on. Because if it is a polyp or fibroid it will probably need to come out or you may keep having issues getting pregnant or carrying past a few weeks. Good luck hun!
I believe you are right and that\'s why they plan on putting me on the pill. That\'s nice they didn\'t make you take it - I was really hoping for the same outcome but as long as it doesn\'t mean canceling this cycle I am okay with it then. Thanks for calming me down guys with your comments. I appreciate it!
I would do the sono. You are right if you have a polyp it could interfer with a pregnancy and could explain your past BFN. I hate when you can\'t get a clear answer to what is going on in there.
I\'m so sorry AF showed even if you were expecting it. It still sucks.
Hugs
Thank you, Roxy! Hopefully these drs will be able to give me a clear answer. Thinking of you xo
