Getting myself into/out of situations
I hate it when I am in the kind of place I am in right now. The past few weeks I have been in a minor flare c,d. that is showing signs of becoming a major one and may even have started back the u.c. The round of constipation last week has left me in pain, though not severe is still painful enough to make me walk slightly stooped. Yesterday I was talking about how rough I felt, okay complaining, and my sig. other, in an effort to cheer me up (?) pointed out that other people are a lot worse off than I am and in fact I could be a lot worse. GEEE THANKS a***ole. I really needed that. I feel depressed and miserable. I really need to go to the doctor but can't afford it because he'll want tests and specialists and all that good stuff that takes money. Sure I have insurance but it doesn't kick in untill I have paid out roughly half of my yearly income. AND the only things that help are predisone, which I can't take because it makes me psycotic (I start thinking people would be better off dead, including me.) or Asacol, which works well enough but I can't even ride with my arm out the car window I am so sun sensitive when taking it. I guess my depression is kicking in. On top of the tummy woes, the stress of my daughters difficult delivery last week of a new grandson (the one good note. He has RED hair, yay) I found out that in helping one charity the lady in charge has made me out to be greedy and grasping to another. I take a lady who has breast cancer, and is currently having to live in a shelter for domestic violence, to her weekly treatments. The Cancer Society made some gas cards available to help with gas. I recieved two and was told to ask when I needed another. I kept asking but got a cold shoulder. We found out yesterday they had mailed 4 to the shelter. I only recieved 2. The other two were "intercepted" by the shelter manager for her own use. Actually she only gave me one and I was told, by her, there were only two. I had to fight her for the second one three weeks after she gave me the first. She kept saying she had "lost" it. I love doing this but with my income the gas bill is adding up and I really needed it. Our gas card is maxed out. I feel like a fool or an idiot. I am alternately embarressed when thinking about how the cancer society must think of me and angry that this woman, who acts like a friend, has played me for a fool. The cancer society called the lady I help and ask her about the cards. They thought I had recieved them and not used them appropriately. I have to go to their office tommorrow and give them my address so they can now be mailed directly to me. At least I was told that was why. I may be attacked for supposed "misuse of funds". It kinda worrys me. I will no longer be associated with the shelter when I can get the lady I am helping housing to get her out. I am working on that and it is so very stressful as they keep threatening to put her on the street because technically she is approaching her time limit. I may have to put her on my couch and I don't know how that will work out. I am fostering her dog because that is all she has left in the world. AAAAARG! How do I get myself into these situations???
