Getting Lost in a Good Book!
There's nothing quite like getting lost in a good book. Reading is just one of my favorite Hobbies. Here are some of the books that I am enjoying. The Outermost House: A chronicle of a solitary year spent on a Cape Cod Beach. A classic of American Nature Writing. The author had originally planned to spend just two weeks in his seaside home, but was so possessed by hte mysterious beauty of his surroundings that he found he could not go. In it he describes the migration of seabirds, the rythms of the tide, the windblown dunes, and the scatter of stars in the changing summer sky. Ironically, I picked this book up, while I was in Cape Cod, and thought it the perfect souvenir of my memories spent on the beach. A Home By The Sea, by Liz Seymour: An inspiring photographic tour of shore houses. There are hundreds of designs and decorating tips for seaside houses of every size and description, as it celebrates the rhythms of life at the beach. Castles Of The World: A Stunning Book with color photographs and rich descriptions, it takes you on an historical journey that allows you to encounter the power and pageantry, the splendor and brilliance of a great chapter in History. Visit the world's most fascinating castles..a chance to enter these historic buildings, to climb narrow spiral stairs, and to pass through ancient chambers and dusty libraries...your chance to embark upon a journey of discovery. I also picked up the book: "The Boy In The Blue Pajamas" which I can't wait to read. I also want to buy the DVD when it comes out. It is not playing in a theater near us, but I definitely want to see it. I also saw the movie "Twilight" and cant wait to start reading the books. I picked up the first book a few days ago, and look forward to jumping right in!
