Getting in those steps!
I had that one day this week of like 8300 steps. All the other days were over 10,000. 1 was even over 12,000 and one was over 14,000. Today, I worked out at the Y. Did 45 minutes on the treadmill plus cool down, so 50 minutes total. Also did upper body weights for 20 minutes and 5 minutes of stretching. Felt pretty good today. Trying to eat healthier, less junk, smaller portions. Also more water. I have to say I am doing better this week than in several months, but not quite where I want to be yet. Last night Paul and I went out to dinner at Lonestar. I felt SO guilty. I only ate 1/2 of my NY strip steak. I did eat the baked potato with butter and some grilled veggies and a diet pepsi. I also had 2 small pieces of pumpernickel bread with butter. So I maxed out on my points, but big PHEW. Did not go over. Today I had a peanut butter Fiber One bar, some coffee, fresh pineapple, a bocca burger on a wheat bun, some steamed brocolli/carrots/cauliflower and some water so far. Still resisting those donuts! Did 3.03 miles on the treadmill today! First time I ever got to 3 miles. So I am psyched about that. I am up to almost 11,000 steps so far today. Still issues with David. He went to the preteen dance last night at the Y and he and his two other friends had a really nice time. For some reason today, they all got in a fight. I just happened to go over there to check on him and one of the fathers was yelling at David to go home as he was fist fighting with the other kids. I am so frustrated. The other kids (and the father) say that David had a cell phone that the "bought" last night at the dance. David has been caught with cell phones in the past. We take them away. I worry sometimes that he is stealing them? They don't work as far as making calls. But he plays games with them in bed until he gets caught or we find them in his room. The father said that the other kids were picking on him about the cell phone and playing "keep away." David flipped out and started hitting the other kids. David flat out denies having a cell phone. He is now in the bath tub. He just bawled and bawled that he is not lying. He is a very good actor. Is he lying now? I think so. Why would that father lie? IDK. I got the movie "Twilight" for Mother's Day. I read all 4 books on the series. I think I will watch the movie tonight. I can feel good now since I got all of my steps in already! Praying to be at least back down to 154 lbs tomorrow!

Wow girl, I\'m so glad that things are going well with your goal! I give you tons of credit!
As for David, I\'m so sorry that you are having so much frustration in what is truth and what is not. It\'s so hard to believe the tears and little face after being lied to so many times. My mentally handicapped brother has problems with Cleptomania. We had to actually put locks on all of the bedroom doors. So every day that I came home, I had to use a key to get into my room. If I didn\'t want it taken, I had to have it locked up. Hard, but made for great sanity for the family. It became a daily occurance to scold him for steeling. I think he didn\'t take all of the scolding seriously.
You are doing the best you can in a bad situation sweetie. This seems to be what a lot of us are faceing. I wish there were a wand that I could wave to make life better for you sweetie. Hugs though.
I am amazed at how hard you are working out! Fabulous! Hope you see the 154# mark.
My heart breaks for you with David! It must be so hard on you and Paul. HUGE HUGS!
Good job on those steps! Amazing!
