getting in shape sucks....kinda

My third day of doing my run/walk circuit. Just like any vigorous excercise I've ever done before the breaking in period is the hardest. Once I get past the breaking in stage I expect to see some gradual improvement in the distance I can run before I'm forced into a walk. Lung issue aside I try to keep in mind that I havent done any regular running since high school 32 years ago and that any old person breaking  back into fitness wouldn't have it all that much easier.  I do notice a very big difference in my abilities that I haven't let go to pot. My muscular strength and muscular endurance is very good and even the 4 block long steep grade hill near my house I am able to steam roll up it at a good clip just under a jog without stopping, yet the jogging itself even on flat ground, though it must certainly be less strenuous seems more difficult to me.  Well, I've made a start anyways and though I've not yet laid out any goals at this time we'll see how things go and perhaps set a goal after the initial break in period is over.
Other than that, I'm just trying to maintain my good cheer. Continuing my reading as always. Try to take lifes lemons and make lemonade.  Something I've not been very good at in my life so far but god willing I live and learn.
