Getting Depressed about work
I'm already starting to get depressed that I can't find a job. I know I need to have a thicker skin, especially with all my limitations in this economy, but I really thought that I would just have to ask at the clinic for a job and poof I would get one. They are also asking me to come in more and more, and that I don't know if I can do. It's a lot on me to try and get everything done. I haven't been sleeping well, I went hypomanic last night and couldn't sleep until after 1am.... so I know that I have to sleep tonight to get everything I need to get done tomorrow. I have to go to the store and get some stuff to make with the chicken, and tonight look up some recipes of things I can do with just plain chicken breasts since I'm not used to it. I know that they have all this stuff at the store that I can get to make the chicken taste better, so I have to see what they have there. I just don't know anything besides like Chicken Helper or something. I know at Target they have some other stuff there that you can do, like Thai and Indian food, so I'm hoping they have that at my local store. Or maybe I should just go to Target instead. I know I can use my food stamps there, and I'm not looking to get anything that I shouldn't be getting at Target (Geo doesn't like Target milk), it's just going to be dry goods. I think I can even go to volunteer after I go to Target, but I would have to stop by home first. I don't want to be taking my big luggage full of food from Target to work. That would be kinda funny, actually. I don't know what time they want me to be there tomorrow, so I'm going to try and be there around 2, my normal time. I don't want them to try and pressure me to come in super early... if I'm up that's one thing, but if I'm sleeping I need my sleep. It's not like it matters because I won't hear the phone anyway.
I know I should be looking up for the things that are good in life... at least I have a volunteer position, I have money that I don't need to worry about, and I have food stamps to get food. I have a roof over my head where I don't have to worry about getting kicked out anytime soon. I remember the time when it was hard and I thought I was going to be homeless. I need to remember those times and see how far I have come. I'm productive, trying to be happy, doing well in therapy, and my medications are working okay. I don't know if the Celexa has kicked in yet, but I know that it should start kicking in sometime soon. I should stop being so arrogant and full of myself and expecting everything to be handed to me. I should have known better, but I was just being naive. I like to think of myself as the best, and that I can do anything that anyone asks, but I know that's not true. For example, I can't work full time right now. I am considering asking for that other job, the part time one where it's just scanning stuff in, just so I can get some income and moving positions when I get a chance, but we will see. I don't want to be in a place where I have to stand all day, I know I can't do that. But if it's a sit down scanner, I might be able to do that.
Food was okay today.... I was still below my calories, but by about 50. I was only low on carbs, I met my fat and protein requirements for the day. I've been low on everything but protein, so it's good to know that I'm getting closer and closer to meeting my goals. I drank all my water today, which is good as well. Stress was moderate today, since I had to work with that girl again.... I can't wait until they change it and the first girl comes back. Actually, working with the new girl is one of the reasons I want to get a job there, so I can be away from her. It's not that I hate her, it's just that she has an attitude and I don't like that. She might think I have one, and I think we need to talk about it so maybe we can work things out. I just hope it doesn't get to the point where things get messy. I try to avoid conflict, but all that does is keep me stressed out like I am! Just try and stay positive, that's what I have to do.
