Getting big

Today I am a little blue.  The darn pg hormones trick me sometimes.  For the most part of this pregnancy, I am more laxed than I have ever been.  But days like today are horrible for DH and myself.  I am so thankful for this growing child in my belly and I have to keep reminding myself when my mind drifts to thoughts I have right now.....fat, unattractive, can't keep up like i use to (i.e. exercise and simple things like cleaning!).  I have gained 20 lbs to date and I am a little depressed about that - so why oh why do I feel this way????  Got to snap out of it!!!  So we still do not have a name and that drives me crazy!  The little one is moving all the time now and DH can actually feel him when he really gets going:)  I do love rubby my belly and talking to him...just can't wait until Jan gets here.  Well, guess I can since we have not ordered the baby furniture, I have not registered and we have not got the nursery ready for the furniture....lots to do and do not have the energy to do it!! Next time I promise my entry will be more uplifting.

I know how you feel... I was already 20 lbs overweight and I\'ve gotten very depressed now that the reality is setting in that I\'m going to explode even more. I also have back problems but ignored my spine doctors orders to not have kids. I can already feel pain and pretty sure this will be a rough pregnancy because of it. I wasn\'t going to let a bad back keep us from having a family though.

Like you, I don\'t have much energy to do anything- housework, groceries, etc... I was hoping that got better after the first trimester? I\'m guessing not, now. :( Well, I\'ve always been so active but I\'m going to somehow resign myself to the fact that I\'m going to be a little inactive and ineffective these next 9 months.

Let\'s just focus on the day we actually get to meet and hold our sweet babies. I\'m already excited and motivated to begin a workout as soon as possible after the baby arrives. We\'ll get back to where we need to be eventually. Keep telling yourself that. It\'ll help. :)

Thinking of you and praying for you every day,

We all have our off days when the pregnancy hormones gang up on us. We can all go back to being \"babes\" after our healthy little babies are in our arms. That\'s my philosophy. My profile picture is from Christmas 2008 and I don\'t want to replace it, but I sure don\'t look like that anymore. My dress size has increased by about seven sizes since then, and it\'s not just the belly :) I was feeling bad about my weight gain early on, but I have decided to let it go for now unless my OB says there is a problem. So far he is fine with my weight gain.

There is still plenty of time to get your nursery set up, and I\'m sure you will have lots of willing help. We all have to slow down at some point. I know I have too.

Feel better soon sweetie! :)

Oh honey, you are pregnant and like it or not the feelings you are having are completely normal. Did you know when pregnant a woman puts on about 4 pounds in blood alone? You are not fat, you are pregnant. :-) I have a feeling you will get a little more energy as the arrival date gets closer and all you need to get done, will. Many couples are not completely as ready as they feel they should be when their child arrives but they do just fine. You will be a great Mother and that is far more important then anything else.
