getting better
So much has happened since my last entry,I scarcely know where to begin. My D was in hospital for 2 months being treated for an abcess on the brain,he had 2craniotomys and was indeed very ill. Since then he stayed at rehab for treatment to enable him to walk again which was successful. Now because of his meds,including anti fungil treatment,he is unable to have vidasa again,and is needing 1 plt and 2 bloods per week. Still being very positive, with only positive people allowed to be in our company. Looking forward to having a good Christmas together at home. Keep the faith.

Hello all, hope and faith are great things to haveand keep through all the very hard trials that we face throughout our lives. Just when you think that things are improving along comes something else to kick you down again. However today is another day and I will not be beaten. My Domenic is stable,having weekly bloods and platlets and continuing as best he can,being of such a strong and determined character I feel sometimes that he will live forever.Unfortunately our son is having trouble mentally and needs a lot of support if he is to live much longer.He will not accept help from anyone which is very difficult for all of us. Yesterday called an ambulance and had the same trouble with the mental health system to get him a bed in war4d. After much discussion with his case manager who wants us to back away and leave him to help himself,we convinced the admitting officer to agree to help him. Seems like I am forever trying to fight our health system,but unless the small people stand up to the system many people WILL fall through the cracks. Thats my rant for today. :) Keep the faith.
