Getting \'Behinder\' every day!
Phew! Just thinking of all that needs to be done around my house, at school, etc. is mind boggling. So why am I behind? Well, last week I came down with Bronchitis. Got antibiotics and shot and thought, okay...I can still work...don't feel that badly and have two days off for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day--went to husband's relative for dinner. Strange and scary day. I lost the fine motor skills in my fingertips. My hands shook. It was hard to eat. I felt like I was standing on a floor that sloped (actually it was an old house and had likely settled somewhat, but probably not to the extent that I felt!); sugars bouncing around, some air hunger, overheating, forgetting stuff, that's about it and that's more than enough. Get home from Thanksgiving--very hard to breathe. Called PA and she said to go back to clinic. After chest x-rays, examination, etc. it was determined that I had a pretty solid case of bronchitis which of course involved asthma. I believe that what happened Thanksgiving Day was a flare-up--although I don't know that I've ever had that before--at least, not like that. It was scary as I didn't realize it was a flare, but instead thought that maybe it was the disease progressing. I do recall thinking, "Well, if it is progressing, there isn't much I can do about it." Anyway, once again I am trying to juggle asthma, MS, COPD, and diabetes. Not easy. Just hope the steroids (they gave me a bigger dose than in the past) don't make me crazy. Nebulizer helps me breathe. Went to school today. So many ideas and so little energy and time! Very frustrating. No time to read journals of my friends, message my DS friends, etc. But...I am managing full time teaching....but at what personal cost? This is all I have time for. To all of you who have messaged me, provided responses to my posts, and commented on my journal entries as well as sent hugs, many, many thanks! I do plan to stay on this site...just taking a break so that I can get my life in order. Hmmmmm....is that possible? LOL Later, friends. Have a joyous and peaceful holiday season! Michelle P. S. Still haven't gotten MRI results so am assuming that 'no news' must be good news.
