Getting back to my happy place

Trying to focus on the positive.  Last 5 days' steps:  13,000, 10,000, 14,800, 9,660, 10,200.  I have been walking the dog at night, doing Wii Walk it Out, etc.  My calories and eating over the last few weeks has been bad but I am back on track yesterday and today.
Yesterday's food:  1200 calories
coffee, 1/2 & 1/2, Splenda, bowl of fruit (watermelon, pineapple, blueberries, honeydew, cantaloupe).   45 oz of water.  roll with deli chicken breast, rice snacks, 2 Gortons fish filets (beer battered), tator tots, peas, unsweetened tea with lemon, hamburger roll.
Today's food:  1200 calories (so far):
coffee, 1/2 & 1/2, splenda, bowl of fruit (same as yesterday), 54 oz of water, hard roll with deli sliced chicken, peas, turkey breast (baked, no skin), stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, fresh string beans.  I may eat a fat free yogurt for dessert.  Or I have some 100 calorie ice cream bars.  I will still be under my 1400 calories.
Going to try to get up and go to the Y tomorrow AM.  New thing now.  No more "YMCA".  They are now officially called "The Y."  but I haven't been there in like 2 weeks.
I am going to the dr's tomorrow.  Having headaches, dizzy spells again.  Had a couple of episodes in the car this past week.  Dr wants to see me about my bloodwork again.  Hopefully this is something to do with low vitamin D or low iron or something, or maybe even perimenopause?  Going to talk with him about it.  Also very fatigued lately.  Yet, doing a walk with the dog or Wii Walk it Out actually helps me feel better for some reason.  So I figure the Y can only help.  Also, haven't been sleeping well at all.  Don't felt like I slept last night at all.  Could not get comfortable.  Could not fall asleep.  Even had 2 nightmares.  I am sure that is also not helping the dizzy spell situation.  I can't focus either.  Just feel "off."
Took my vitamins yesterday and today, so hopefully that will help.  I also saw something on tv that was interesting.  There is a disorder called "F.A.D."  For finicky adult disorder or something like that.  There is a disorder where young children who are picky eaters can grow up and this affects their life as adults.  Can't go to dinner parties, or eat out or anything and often are addicted to carbs.  They are sensitive to certain foods (taste, texture, etc.)  OMG!  This is me!  I am going to have to look this one up.  This really limits my ability to eat healthy.  And I know I need to cut back on the bread, pasta, rice.  I lived off of bread, pasta, rice all my life.  I was a poor college kid with an apartment with my friend.  I ate spaghetti 5-6 nights per week!  And was never bored!  I eat a lot better now, but there were so many similarities to me watching the news.
I went back up to 153 lbs as of Sunday.  My lowest was 143 lbs.  So I am going to focus on getting to 140 lbs.  Then set a new goal for myself.  I am focused on how much better I will feel at 140 lbs.
I am not done my "Building a House with my Husband" book yet, but it really makes me appreciate my life and the blessings I have and what is important in life.  And seeing some of my friends here going through some really serious problems right now, I am just going to count my blessings and try to be a better "me."
Oh, and Woo Hoo!  We ordered the granite counter tops today!  I am SO excited!  I have always wanted granite countertops!  Hopefully, end of August, early September, I will have a new kitchen.  We are now in agreement on 5" solid wood oak floor.  Have several people coming this week for quotes.  Paul is going to order the bay window tomorrow.  Have to get Pella since it is a very weird size.  Only thing left to pick out is back splash and that can wait a while.  And I have to find new pots and pans (magnetic that work with induction cook top.)

You are getting a \'dream kitchen\'...we got the 5\" floor and love it. Also went crossway in the hall and love it.
Hopefully the Dr. finds the cause of your fatique and dizzy spells and it is an easy fix.

Hope all goes well with the kitchen good luck :)

You are doing great with the wii.

Why are you eating 1200-1400 calories? where did you find this out? Maybe i need to adjust mine.

Per Fitday (and other sources I have seen), you need to eat 3500 less calories than you burn to lose 1 lb. This amounts to 500 less calories per day. Originally, I was basing my calories burned on 2000 calories burned per day and then adding in the \"extra\" for exercise. But when I went into Fitday and really worked up the \"my metabolism\" section, I found I was only burning about 1875 calories per day (not including exercise.) If I go to the Y and do my exercises ( approx 1 1/2 hrs), I burn 2000 to 2100 calories. So I am trying to stay in the 1400 calorie range to lose 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per week. These last 2 days have been around 1200, so if I go a little over today or tomorrow, I won\'t sweat it. Also, I am trying to be more aware of portions, but I know that eventhough Fitday may say 1200 calories, if I really and truly measured, maybe it is more than that. So 1200 to 1400 for now is where I am going to try to stay.

Oh, I\'ve always wanted a glass tile backsplash in amber and red....I\'m just sayin\'.

WOOHOO on those walks!!! Way to go Yvette!!! Calories the last few days look good, but be sure you are getting enough calories consumed vs. calories burned. If your fuel levels fall they could cause lightheadedness. But yeah, have the DR. do a full exam and make sure you tell him all that is going on...all your symptoms, your stress level, your exercise routine and your calorie intake. Together you\'ll figure out what is going on. Sending you many good vibes to get back to 100%.
Sorry about the gain...at least it wasn\'t as bad as mine, lol! But you\'ll get there. Today is a new day, right?
Love ya!
