Getting back on track
So, I have been very ill since about October/November with various health concerns. For the past few months, I have been on pretty much constant bed rest. I believe I am beginning to feel better, or at least, have the potential to feel better. Therefore, here I am, trying to get back on track.
I don't know why I didn't log on here every single day since I got sick. Heaven knows I have needed the support and the ability to vent. I am so stressed out in life right now and it is only making my illnesses worse. Instead, though, I sit here in bed and watch Netflix from the time I wake up until my husband gets home. Then, we usually watch something together and go to bed.
I have to break the cycle that we are in. I have to break this funk that I am in. It's driving me crazy. I need to be losing weight and following a strict diet, but I do none of this. Hell, sometimes, I don't even eat all day long and wonder why I am starving when my husband gets home at nearly 10 pm.
Since I have been so ill, I know that I have to start small, so I thought simply walking would be a good idea. It normally doesn't help me because I was so used to walking that I never even felt it, but now, it would be a good starting point. I have trouble making it to the kitchen without getting winded sometimes now.
Instead of creating huge goals that I know I cannot maintain, this time I am starting small. My first goal is to lose 45 lbs in 14 weeks. That is a little over 3 lbs a week. I have it all mathematically broken down into how many calories I need to burn each day and week in order to achieve this. Math helps me focus.
The simple truth is, though, I need help. I know I haven't been much help to anyone here because I have been so absorbed in my own life and health problems, but I don't have friends to turn to with this. The few I have tell me they are here for me, but they really aren't. Instead, they want me to listen to all of their problems (which I do, gladly) and help them. I can't be selfish and talk about just me with anyone. That is probably why I am so dang stressed all the time.
