Geodon withdrawal
My psych and I talked and we decided to switch to Ambilify from Geodon, so I'm splitting capsules of Geodon to taper off. I think the taper is going too fast and I should call my psych since I'm getting cold sweats, nightmares, scary images when I close my eyes. I'm pretty tired and while it seems like I'm going through a lot, I don't think I need to go to the hospital. I have Geo here to help me. it's better than the hospital, since there they just drug you until you can't function. If I think I need to go to the hospital, I will. I'm not going to risk my safety for some "out of the hospital" streak.

Med withdrawals are the WORST! (Been there.) Definitely call your pdoc, and if you can\'t reach him/her, then slow down on your own. I seriously doubt your doc will be upset about you slowing down a taper. They\'re most concerned about sudden withdrawals. Big hugs!
what happened with geodon that you switched? sounds dangerous to be on medication if you go through all that. hope you are okay.
I had to switch because if you mix Geodon and Haldol you can get heart problems. I need the Haldol, and I just started on the Geodon so it\'s not going to be as hard to get off it.
I\'m just now finding my friends\' journals, so I hope you are feeling better and doing good with the Geodon now and the nightmares are gone. Take good care of your sweet self!
