Geo goes to the doctor

I made an appointment last week for Geo to see the doctor, and today we actually had the car so we were able to go. It was great... he's lost 20 pounds! I'm so proud of him! The Alli has been working for him. I hope he can continue on with the weight loss. He's 545 pounds now, when before he was 567, so he's lost over 20 pounds. I had doubted him, and I apologized and said he was right. He's thinking now about trying to lose all the weight on his own instead of getting the surgery, which I think is great. When we were at the doctor's he was telling me how he wants to eat salad now, which is another big thing. He's trying to change his diet into something positive and that's great. He did get his cholesterol checked and they have to recheck it tomorrow or something since it was an abnormal reading (it was 223, but normally he's in the 190's). He's so lucky to have the health he has with the weight. He does have a lot of joint pain, but even that's getting better as he's losing weight. He's moving easier, even with a sprained muscle from bowling. I can't believe he was actually able to go bowling in the first place, since it's such an active sport. I'm just so proud of him right now!
Last night I was dealing with the stress thing I was journaled about last night and I couldn't sleep. I kept on trying and trying but nothing worked. I took klonopin and finally NyQuil. The NyQuil did the trick (with the klonopin) and I slept well once I got to sleep (after 2am, when I tried to go to bed at 11). The possibly stressful situation worked itself out without a glitch and nothing bad happened, so I was worried about all that for nothing. I shouldn't have worried, but I was just stupid and let myself get stressed about something I had no control over.
I didn't make it to the gym today, since I was busy running around with Geo and the doctor (and I slept until 1pm with all the drugs in my system). Today was just a day of uncertainty with Geo dropping his dad off, taking the car and the doctor. We went out to a buffet after we went to the doctor and I ate well. I overate on calories, but I'm going to walk for about an hour and a half tomorrow so I will burn off the extra calories. I weighed myself at the doctor too, and while I'm still above 250 (251.2) but that's after I ate while wearing clothes. I normally weigh at home first thing in the morning, so it's different. But since the last time I saw him in April I'm down 6 pounds. That's 6 pounds in 2 months, about 3 pounds a month. It would have been more had I not plateaued the month of June. But, that's last month, it's on to bigger (well, smaller me) and better things!
I felt pretty good today with my mood... I was running around doing errands most of the day, but man did it feel good to have a car again! I wasn't driving of course, since I don't drive, but it was nice to have access to a car and be able to go where we wanted when we wanted. We do have to take care of Geo's dad's dogs while he is gone for the weekend, but we have a car! Tomorrow is going to be a long day while I do my walk and go to the gym to make up for me not going today. It's going to be hard, but I can do it. That, or I'll just do my workout here at home tonight. It's kinda late, but I took a late nap so I'm not tired. I may work off some of this energy yet. I will still try to get to bed at a decent hour tonight so I'm not too off. I do have to wake up early on Monday or Tuesday and get to the clinic to see about volunteering.
I slept a lot today (11 hours last night and a 2 hour nap later) but I feel good. I'm tired, so hopefully I can fall asleep easily tonight. Geo's mom is supposed to possibly come over tomorrow so we will see how that goes. It's going to rain all weekend, so I'm going to have to do my walk in the gym on the treadmill. BlueToes, I will be sure to tell you if I fall off again so you can laugh. I didn't really get hurt, so it's fine for you to laugh. I wouldn't have posted it if I didn't think it was funny and didn't care if people found out. Okay, I'm off to do my exercises and go to sleep!
