general update//kry came by//went to the marina//tooth or "gum" is hurting

then kry came by.
she temps at the front of the office park.  she says as of last week she is back.  i know for a fact, that every time they do these hiring things around here, they keep the people for 3 months and let them go.  its never permanent.

she says she lost her job as the officepark receptionist 6 years ago and hasn't had a steady paycheck since.

the woman that has been working the receptionist desk was actually from human resources and they didn't want to lose her.    everyone else in that office was let go when they did their big cut back six years ago.
their logic was to demote the human resources person, and that way as a "receptionist" when they need her to fill in for human resources she is right there and they can get kry or pretty much anyone to do reception.  which is true actually.  i can see their logic, but its still sad.  even sadder because its soooo unlikely that they are going to keep anyone that was hired recently.  but who knows.

she also looks completely different.  its weird, when you work in one place for over ten years, you actually SEE people age.   it totally unnerves me.   kry used to be a cute blonde with ruddy skin, in her mid-30's with shoulder length curly hair.   she cut ALLLL of her hair off, so now its super short and dyed it burgandy-black.  its like who are you?

my tooth is KILLING me.  its the tooth that fell out last year.  omg!  it had been dead and glued together back in 2005.  if i'd saved the tooth when it broke this time, the dentist could have tried to glue it together again.  its the first tooth that i lost.  i said it to k and he seems amused by this.  so i guess this is another part of getting old and something i haven't quite been listening to when people go on about it.  it hurts though.  i thought it was from the weather, but we have perfect weather right now.  70 during the day and evening, sunny and clear.  (plus falling leaves - we get like 3 falls in north florida, 2 springs and then summer and winter).

headed to the marina.  still verrrry quiet down there.  if the economy is "improving" wonder why its still so dead at the marina.  its never recovered.

Get the tooth fixed, 38! You don\'t want it to get infected. Actually, with age, my teeth improved. I spend more time in the dentist\'s chair when I was in my teens and early 20\'s. Somewhere, somehow, after that, I learned that sugar is the enemy! Except for one, I still have all my own teeth! Pretty cool, eh??

I\'m sure the economy is improving, but recovering...nah! We used to drive by the Marina and see tons of boats. Now there are very few. It\'s a dead zone near the water. People can\'t afford to keep up their boats! Kinda sad huh?? xo

Get the tooth fixed!! You will be so glad you did. I can\'t believe the dentist would glue your tooth. Are you talking about a crown that was glued?

I struggle so much with the dentist after my jaw was broken and so afraid to keep my mouth open...afraid it would stay that way and couldn\'t close it. Don\'t put it off!

In this bad economy I would think that the first thing to go would be a boat. And it is very sad.

its because of the high price of fuel. its mostly yachts over here. just the 35 to 55 footers, and i think there are only TWO in the marina today. if we would copy GERMANY and go solar all of U.S.A. could afford EVERYTHING, as there would be no more electric bills and no more fuel bills. think of the savings. and no more \"spills\" and no more danger of explosions and fires. every civilized country will be completely solar in the next five years and we STILL won\'t have it in U.S.A. we are voting ourselves into third world status. wth?

he glued the TOOTH, they have that -- i guess its called tooth glue? lol. seriously. it had a hairline-crack and he glued it and it stayed until 2013. now its gone. i\'m taking advil if i eat anything very hot or very cold and then its fine. i also did a double flossing and that always helps. really need to just floss three times a day, but haven\'t made that a routine yet. definitely better carrying around floss than carrying around a toothbrush.
