games people play

Thursday I got a call from only person who does call me on a regular (ie maybe once a month) basis, from somebody 8 miles away; he on his way through my town, for a store way out of town, and wondered if I wanted to go along.  He also knows I put some gas in his car, and that day I also bought him a slice of pizza.
Friday, yesterday, I saw on local online paper that his adult kid was arrested for stealing a credit card---at very same place we visited, 2 days before that; only time him and me to that store. The usual weird coincidence re my...friend.
A few weeks before this, he gave me a ride to nearby walmart, again with guilty-feeling me giving him a few bucks for gas...and I also showed him a tombstone I accidently noticed while bicycling through the local cemetery before that: 2 sisters we knew in 1980s died on new year's eve, driving from one bar to another, AND now a bottle of wine on their tombstone, for a memorial.  Days after I showed him this, the bottle of wine was gone; he probably mentioned it to the survivng sisters.
A week ago I mentioned to a tenant in my building that I moved to my living room to sleep, even though loud music from tenant below me had stopped....amazing how music seemed to have started up again after I mentioned I cant hear any music in my living room.
I really should watch what I say to some of the people around me, BUT, I gotta have somebody to talk to, I guess.
(Meanwhile, this morning, a new addition to  group home upstairs...?  I overheard him say, on his cellphone (?) in hall: "I won't do nothing to hurt you; you're safe, ok?"  And, again, when I want to go outside to feed a homeless cat, I accidently hear him say, at 1 in afternoon: "let me finish talkin---I don't care about the f--kn..."  I kinda have the feeling the cops will eventually show up for this guy, one day)

thanks again...but, as the saying goes, \"most people wouldn\'t believe me.\"

Around 2006, I told my vet about crazy stuff going on nearby, and then I showed up later with clippings from local paper to back up my stories, with me saying I save such stuff cause...and then she finished my sentence, \"because otherwise people would think YOU are crazy.\"

last week, in a tabloid, I read some European woman got a two hundred thousand dollar advance on a book in which she claims to be elvis Presley\'s real daughter---lisa marie is a fake! How does somebody even sell such a story to a publisher, let alone get such money for it?!

I\'m sorry you are still stuck around the questionable character people. At least you are getting out and away from the noise. Have you put your name on every housing list you can so you can move?

I\'m glad you are still around. You have friends here that care and listen to what you have to say.

Try to have a pleasant Sunday, my friend. Lots of hugs

Hi, Blondie61,

My Sunday is actually kinda funny---considering how the other two tenants were noisy, I find it funny that they probably hear the last few day\'s cursing better than I can.

I\'m sleeping in my living room, avoiding the dirty back yard, have chains on my doors...not as though people\'s bad behavior is new to me...so I\'m ok right now.

I do have a 4, down from 5, year wait for an apt in a govt high rise 25 miles away, though I\'ll probably get stuck on the 10th floor, and put wind chimes and a bird feeder outside my window, if that would even be allowed:)

I can\'t remember the name of the author now, but the book was called Mamma Makes Up Her Mind.

It was about her mother\'s and quirky friends antics in a small southern town.

She says ANYONE can get on the radio and get a book deal. Changed her life bigtime!

Birdfeeder and windchimes! Sounds nice!
