Gained 2 lbs
Well, I feel frustrated. I was feeling really awful yesterday. I think with all of the stress, and everything else, and also the Haiti earthquake, I let it all get the best of me and had a very bad weekend. Ate junk food all weekend and lots of it. Total binge episode: pizza, potato chips, double portion of spaghetti, multiple chocolate donuts, pancakes and syrup with bacon.... you get the picture. And I just found myself crying many times late last week and over the weekend at the news and watching hurt babies being pulled from the rubble and amputees. It just ripped me up. And the guilt that goes along with it, and the guilt of the bad eating. So I gained 2 lbs and am back up to 146 lbs. And I felt like a total failure ALL day yesterday and it just threw me into not getting a lot done. I spent the entire day in the kitchen cooking and eating. Ugh! I had gotten 14 days in a row of over 10k steps! Saturday was like 8500 and yesterday was only 4975. So today, I am back on track. Cheerios and milk and coffee for breakfast. Baked chicken thigh (no skin) for lunch with green beans. I am sucking down water right now. No exercise yet, but going to the Y tonight for my Health Circle class and will get in a workout. Have to find something healthy for dinner. Paul bought me some apples. I did read 3/4 of my book over the weekend: Dead Until Dark (Southern Vampire Mysteries) book 1 Got some of the Christmas decorations down. House is a cluttery mess right now and that is not helping my mood. I watched a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful movie last night: "Amazing Grace". Wow! I think this kind of snapped me out of my funk! It is about William Wilberforce who is in Parliament in London England in the late 1700's, battling to abolish slavery. It is a true story. His priest is the one who wrote the song "Amazing Grace." And gave him the inspiration. He fought for 15 years to abolish slavery in England and finally won! So if he can do that, I can lose a few lbs, right?

Well, it great you are back on track.... we all have bad days or weekends... that\'s not to say you don\'t feel bad about it...
did you go to the class you were telling me about on sat?
now that you are back on track you will lose the 2lbs.... you can do it.....
I went to Muscle Pump on Saturday am. 50 min class of various exercises with weight bars and dumbbells. The squats killed me and I was very sore on Sunday! I also went to Health circle last night and then did 36 mins on treadmill (walked 3.7 mph as I was still a little tired and a little sore, so no jogging.) I also did 25 min of upper body weights and abs/back. Food wasn\'t bad yesterday but did eat a handful of M&M\'s last night. Thank God the M&M\'s are now gone!
Your exercise levels and stamina are fantastic!! Don\'t beat yourself up over the food - it\'s over, keep it in the past. Glad you are back at it and treating yourself with respect and kindness. You are worth it.
I feel the same way when my house is a mess. We are kindred messy house spirits.
the Muscle Pump class sound like fun! I can\'t watch the new anymore about Haiti...I have to leave the room when it comes on.
Good that you are back on track after a bit of sidetracking! Hopefully next time you will be stronger and nip it in the bud when it starts.
Hey, don\'t beat yourself up about the binge. It happens. We all need that from time to time. The important thing is that you try so hard each and every day. You are very dedicated so please remember that! Onward and upward! :))))
I agree, binges happen and we have to acknowledge them and move on. It sounds emotional and you realize that and that is very important in working thru weight loss (I think anyway!). Accept the binge, reflect, move on and stay positive. Your steps are AWESOME!!!! Keep it up! I can relate about a cluttered house, it drives me crazy and you just have to go slow and work thru it. It\'ll happen, slowly but surely! Sounds like a great book! Have you read the \"Christmas List\"? It\'s another great read! Good luck and stay strong! We are all here for you!
I know exactly where you are coming from, and completely agree with Fun Frog...you recognized what you did and now you are moving on. The binge happened, you gained 2 lbs., that really pales in comparison to what you have accomplished! I know you will get back on track and you will continue to meet your goals! Good luck :)
You\'ll kick that 2 lbs. in the butt in no time! I know what you\'re going through and I know you will get passed it as well!!
