further adventures

Wednsday caught local bus to hospital 3 miles away, and good thing I did---my dr/hospital appointment for different day than I thought.  My lousy hearing, I got the date wrong.  Since the hospital trip only took five minutes and bus wouldnt return for 90 minutes, I walked home.
Highway walk of seeing a crow flying over trees in forest opposite hospital was nice, but not so having to pass two seperate needles and two seperate long spoons maybe connected with needles.  And it would start raining as soon as I left the hospital.  But, it felt good, after 3 months in new area, of feeling more of a part of the community, by....walking the highway ?!
After that walk to huge salvation army in town, to donate blood for red cross.  Selfish me doing it to see if I can ( with my high blood pressure), get free medical reading, some snacks afterwards, and this time even a free t-shirt.
Environment is everything; my blood pressure has gone down 10 points since moving.  I still cheated for blood donation by taking an extra half of a blood pressure pill i'm on, but didnt have to take two aspirins like i did for last year donations, with even then it being higher than yesterday's reading.
