funny thing happened today

I had a headache today and not thinking clear...so this morning taking my kids to school I had to get gas. Went inside and my kids were putting their drinks on counter. All I could think was I have to remember to let them know I got gas too. So when my kids got out of way I approached the counter. The man smiled at me and said hi, hoow are you?  I just looked at him and said "hi,..I got gas" my kids could barely stand they laughed so hard. Then I realized what and how I said it. I stammered I didn't mean it like that. He laughed and said its OK, we sell tums..then he laughed and said he knew what I meant. Great way to start day. Lol
