FUNNY FAMILY MEMORIES OF EASTER

Our family has two Easter legends and they both involve me!First one my 90 year old mother loves to tell. When I was 4 or 5 and didn't want to eat the raw carrot sticks my mother had given me, I waited until she was gone, snuck out to the pantry and buried the loathsome veggie UNDERNEATH THE STRAW IN MY EASTER BASKET! It worked. By the time they were discovered, they were too deteriorated to eat. LOLWhen I was 15 I had been on a diet for a while before Easter arrived. My mother put "lousy dietetic candy" in my basket. That's how I described it in my diary. I also did not want to attend the 6 AM sunrise service at church, since there was another one at 11 AM. I said, "IF THE TOMB IS EMPTY AT 6 AM, IT WILL STILL BE EMPTY AT 11 AM!
