I saw that a few weeks back. Pretty disturbing.
I\'ve been noticing how similar the three networks are with their news stories, even before I watched this video. I feel like I\'m back in my high chair with someone feeding me my baby food with a spoon.
The commercials, at least some of them, have hidden messages too. Notice sometime how they emphasize happiness through marriage and children. You almost never see singles being happy in commercials and TV dramas...they\'re always all torn up with anxiety while the married with children people are wonderfully happy and fulfilled.
What scares me is that the Nazi propaganda machine did exactly the same thing in the 1930\'s. Their whole focus was on the sanctity of the German family as the foundation of the nation.
I just had to watch the video again. It\'s disturbing, but also really funny.
I absolutely cannot tolerate mainstream media. I won\'t watch it. It\'s soooo annoying and ridiculous. I try to get my news from smaller news sources, non affiliated.
I use Google News, which collates a wide variety of sources around the world from the BBC to the China News Agency. And I also follow Daily Kos and bloggers with independent sources. I\'m not sure I fully trust anyone in the news business these days, big or small. But maybe if you digest enough of it, you get some kind of idea about what\'s going on.
I remember the testimony before Congress before the first Iraq war...all the talk of babies being thrown out of incubators by the Iraquis...turned out the \"nurse\" was actually a member of the Kuwaiti royal family. She admitted it after the war...it was all lies. I\'ve also seen video where there\'s no doubt that the coverage by CBS News on the killing of Palestinians was crafted by someone to make it look like the Zionist version of things was correct...when it wasn\'t.
No doubt about it! It\'s scripted.....brainwashing. I didn\'t find it funny at all. It\'s sickening the way we are manipulated and scammed by these people. After watching the video, no one could say that it wasn\'t clearly scripted. Unfreakinbelievable.
Kind of makes you wonder who the script writer works for...and what their agenda is. They do seem to be manipulating public opinion for some unknown purpose...very creepy.
I\'m gonna say the govt is the script writer.
That seems likely...maybe the CIA...there\'s nothing in the Constitution that gives any agency of government permission to manipulate the citizenry like this. It\'s not a certainty that it\'s manipulation...but it walks like it, talks like it, and quacks like it.
I used to think talking like this was probably a little crazy, but the video can\'t be dismissed as just coincidence. Somebody is pulling our strings.
Maybe they are local subsidiaries of a national media company and therefore all follow the same script?

I\'ve been mulling over the possible explanations for the use of the same keywords in all those newscasts. They can\'t be subsidiaries of a single company if they\'re connected to NBC, Fox, and CBS...can they? I saw our local ABC station in the video, and the station is locally owned according to my info.
The best I can come up with is that there\'s a news \"service\" that supplies stories for local TV stations who subscribe. Still, it doesn\'t quite fit the way they emphaze key phrases like they do in the video. I just don\'t know enough about TV news to say what\'s going on.
And it doesn\'t explain why the major network news organizations cover the major stories with exactly the same set of quotes and so on. If they each have their own correspondents working independently, why are the stories exactly the same on the different networks?
Something just doesn\'t add up about all of this. It sounds like everything is coming from a single source. That is just not what we are being told...sounds to me like there\'s a lot of lying going on.

I don\'t doubt that the elites in this country and others who, besides being wealthy, own giant news outlets, exert a great deal of influence over what we see in the media. I worked for the UN for 20 years and was always struck by the slant in American news sources as compared to a more neutral, international perspective. The major difference is the absence of other countries from the news, unless something awful is happening there. We live in our own world and it promotes a narcissistic, \"exceptionalist\" worldview.
I\'ve read that all mainstream media is owned by like 2 companies. I don\'t recall the names but I do remember reading that. Left vs Right wingers like to claim that their news source is better than the other but in reality, they\'re all owned by the same companies and getting the same stories.
Wow, nearly dislocated my shoulder just now...I got over-enthusiastic while patting myself on the back for figuring this out...LOL. So it does look like the little stations use various news \"services\".
This whole issue of American arrogance and exceptionalism is something I\'ve been studying recently. I think it all goes back the the early part of the Twentieth Century...those World Wars when American industry and militarism saved the day for a lot of countries.
That\'s when the US became a superpower, and it\'s led to good and bad things. The bad would include a foolish attempt to revive the failed colonialism of the European powers. We don\'t seem to be good at learning from the mistakes other countries have made...instead we assume we can do everything better than anyone, so establishing puppet governments and hegemonies is OK when we do it.
After all, we\'ve got God on our side, don\'t we? And the toughest one of all to counter...if we don\'t do it, somebody worse will. That one can really lead us into some deep trouble.
I\'ve heard similar things about the major news sources, Smith. I think you\'re right.
And all of this consolidation happened fairly recently too. I remember when the news coverage varied from station to station...now it all seems to be so much alike. And don\'t expect to hear them say anything against the government...that would jeopardize their connections to \"unnamed sources\" and bring their overseers at the parent company down on them.
So is this a \"free press\"? Doesn\'t sound like one to me.
I don\'t pretend to be as knowledgeable as I ought to be, but my impression of the root cause of American neocolonialism is that our government is in service to the economic elites, and our national religion is unfettered capitalism.
Have you heard of the book, \"Confessions of an Economic Hit Man\"? It\'s all right there. (I actually haven\'t read it but I\'ve read the reviews and seen interviews with the author, which you could probably find on YouTube.)
I don\'t understand the American exceptionalism. If an individual made the kind of arrogant statements about himself that we are indoctrinated with about our country, wouldn\'t we diagnose that person as a narcissist? Wouldn\'t we assume that on some level he must be deeply insecure? What\'s it all about? I would like to know more ...
