Fuck Life, Seriously.

So, I hear over and over about the great new interest rates.  I decide to call and see if I can refinance.  Since the divorce I have not been late for one fucking payment on anything.  Not one!  I have shitty awful credit from my marriage, where my ex behind my back took out loans in my name and finananced 5 cars in my name and then was late paying them back.   Our house went to a loan modification, which I, on my OWN, took care of and saved my house.  But, NO, I can get no help for a new interest rate loan because it was reported as Foreclosure.  Yeah, great, fuck me.  I can work and live on NOTHING to make sure I am current on everything, but still I get punished.  There are fucking rock stars that owe millions and they just carry on living.  There is Richard, that left me this big pile of shit, living with his whore in HER house (which is paid for).  There is Kevin that is living off who know's who and left me owing me thousands of dollars.  And then there's me - little old me - that struggles every day to keep up.  I get the punishment.  Heavens, don't help the person that for the last 6 years ON HER OWN has managed to pay every bill and keep her head above water.  Don't help her try and get a loan that may free up $200/month so that she can fucking BREATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The rich will qualify for the new interest rate and they'll just get richer.  The struggling don't qualify for ANYTHING and we just keep paying out the ASS.  For my fucking car loan 6 years ago - for a fucking KIA - I barely qualified for any loan because of my ex - I finally did - and was paying almost $500 a month!!!!  I hear every day about cheap cars/leased cars for next to nothing, but I CAN'T QUALIFY FOR THAT BECAUSE OF MY CREDIT FROM MY EX.  Does it make sense?  I have been paying close to $500/month for 6 years on this KIA, with not ONE late payment, but I can't get a loan for LESS money??????????????????????  Does it make sense?  I mean - I am paying the money every month now, why would I not pay an substantially less amount????????????????????????????

Fuck me - honestly - I don't know how I don't kill someone with all this pent-up rage.

Sadly the credit industry sucks when it comes to this. Then there is the perceived notion that you can\'t pay, which seems false. Is there anyway to repair your credit by chance? I would imagine you paying everything on time, all the time, would really be helping your case. It is sad how someone can destroy your credit so easily. I hope that you can repair it, and get some help. Honestly I\'m completely with you on the lack of help. I still, a year later, find a way to live on my own from a housing prospective. Apparently because I don\'t have kids, the state of NJ won\'t help me with a place to live. I guess being disabled isn\'t important enough. But chin up, it will get better. You are doing great even through your struggles, so take comfort in the fact that you are holdi ng on

No, I can\'t do any more than I am now. I am barely making it now. My mortgage is $1300, my car $400, phone/water/garbage/TV/internet $250, insurance $76, Gas and Electric about $230 (minimal). Then add on gasoline, food, doctor app\'ts, medication, miscellaneous. It never stops. I am working so hard to do the right thing. Oh well... Tes - if I tell you this you will be so ANGRY. My daughter\'s friend - lives in Jamestown NY. She has two children, is not married, lives with the father. Neither work (she works under the table in a bar). They live in government housing for less than $100 a month - a townhouse with two bedrooms, garage, laundry. They have reduced gas and electric. The guy had his associates degree education paid for. They both get food stamps, she gets WIC. Their tax return is routinely around $10,000 a year. I work 40 hours a week. Pay for everything myself. No breaks on anything. And I always end up paying tax. Go figure.......

Sandy, I am so sorry! I know how frustrating it can be.
Have you considered taking in a lodger who pays you rent for the use of a room so that you can get some help in paying for all of this?

Maybe you can find a flight attendant who needs a home base, but is away a lot of the time. Or maybe you can be lucky like my ex who found someone who lives out of the city and just wanted a place to sleep Monday to Thursday nights nights because the rest of the time he lives with his family at his own home. Just a thought.

My house is set up to be perfect for that actually. The entire upstairs would be their\'s. The only draw back is that I watch my grandchildren about three/four times a week until about 10 p.m. Not sure a lodger would like that racket/disruption in their life. I may get to that point tho - thanx for supporting me. You know - it\'s just a kick in the ass when at this age I\'m back to struggling like I was when I was first married. Never expected to find myself in this position at my age. Kinda\' thought I would be in my marriage/life forever.

Wow Sandy. Just wow. Sadly you are quite right, that does upset me. I can\'t even qualify for public housing in one of the worst cities in this country, and yet people who don\'t really need it get it handed to them on a platter. But you know what, it seems like everyone that takes advantage of the system gets so much more then those of us who really need it. My sister is a great example of that too. I have to suck it up though, because she is family and all that, but trust me, there are times I just want to call the state and report her. I can\'t even get food stamps because she gets them. It is a whole mess that if I posted here would likely get her in trouble if someone was from the state. Point is, it just blows.

New2free\'s idea is a good one, if you can make that work. As much as I hate saying this sandy, I felt the same way about the marriage/life thing. I thought I had it all sorted out when I was 20. Turns out life like to throw curve balls at you. I never in my life thought I\'d be back living in my parent\'s home, let alone be so close with them. So positive and negative all in the same boat. I hope it gets better for you though. You are a very strong person, and I have faith that you will find your way. As they say, keep fighting the good fight. :)
