Frustrating Week Car Problems - Lots of Walking

Went out to my car Wednesday after work.  Everyone else the office had gone home and my car was the only one left in the parking lot, about 9 pm.  Wouldn't start.  Called my roadside service for a jump.  Jump my car , left, car died, they came back, not the battery, it's the alternator. They couldn't do anything else to assist me except over to call for a tow or a cab.  I wanted to go home, not to a repair shop to at 9 pm.    Told him I didn't feel like putting a mortgage on my home for a cab ride (very expensive in our area).   So off I took to the bus transit center about a mile a way.  Was already tired and really breathing hard.  Kept having to stop.  Finally got there and it was about about 10 pm.  The first time I really felt fearful having this disease, didn't know if I would make it to the bus stop before they quit running and didn't know what I would do then.  Didn't have to cross that bridge.  Bus finally showed up about 10:45 pm and I got home about 11:45.  Wow, work in Oregon City and live in Portland, about 20 miles about.  Then I had to figure out the route to get to work and back the next day, what to do with my car and it was also complicated because I had to work in two office and they are 5 miles apart.   Anyway,  lots and lots of walking, more than I would have liked, kept getting off at the wrong place and having to walk quit a distance.  Anyway, I make it, rode the bus to the car shop in Oregon City this afternoon picked up my car (and those nice people washed it).  The bus ride itself I really enjoyed.  Got to see parts of Portland I never get to see because I'm driving, also cuts down on road rage, lol, was relaxing.  Took my book but was far to entertained by what was going on around me to read it. Wasn't able to pick up Mallary, that was sad and next week I have dental appts. on Friday.  I need to retire.  Getting old is a lot of work!!!
