Frustrating Days
For 2 days now....I have a husband who has cared not at all about how our yard looks and for the most part he still doesn't... I always took care of it.....I cut the shrubs, planted the flowers...he does not even mow we have someone do it....but after the last storm we had...the last of our yard tree is now gone....and last year when I would say to him, because I had had surgery and couldn't, that the shrubs are really wild and need cutting...he goes "where" I just said geez and walked on in the house.....like he can't even see they need trimming..
So now he has decided that because the tree went down...then he has decided to redo how I have the front yard...It really make me upset, since I worked so hard especially with my back....I laid brick around the walkway and needed 50 more bricks and kept asking him to go help me get the...this was last year....we never got the bricks
Now all the stuff I fixed he has decided to take up and put down different type of stone....
I have not much interest in anything...but am trying so yesterday we went out to look and I just ended up walking away....after all if he is going to change it then now much I can do....I tried to tell him that I am trying to force myself to get involved in something or have some interest......
Oh well, just let him do what he wants ....do the work...but will make sure he trims the hedages this year if is so ready to change everything I worked so hard to do
Men....for one thing....they just do what they want...make the change..so if they decide to do that then they should just do all the work....GO FoR It Hubby!!!!
But one thing if they are a good man.....then why complain...and he is....
Don't remember what but did have a dream of Kenn last night...could see him
Good dream....

I\'m glad you had a good dream of Ken, you must be so happy. Marcia
Sandi I do know what you mean about all the time you couldn\'t get help and then suddenly he\'s not only there to help but wants to take over. Whew. Makes you think maybe it wasn\'t so bad doing it on your own. I know it\'s a huge effort and hard for people to not get emotionally charged but do you think there\'s any hope in talking with him (ha ha!) to sort out what the priorities are? It always amazes me that Drew can\'t read my mind... seems so obvious. : )
Love and peace with the dream,
Sarah
I remember my Dad, a bully, bull dozing all of Mom\'s flower beds to make room for a new garage. It\'s always painful, but silver backs do just as they please in all kingdoms. I forgive my Husband because he\'s good at taking care of me, that\'s about all, but believe me, when you\'re sick, it\'s enough!
This is not an easy situation. Men can be soooo from Mars sometimes. Can it be that he is grieving, too? Thank goodness you have this group to talk to when things get to be too much...........I am sending you peace in your heart, patience in your mind, and love--Margery Ann
Maybe because I seem to have no interest in things....yet that was something I was going to try to do yesterday......then it flopped...Oh well....just let him have it it is a big job....and he does take good care of me....but just love my yard to look a certain way...Dad always had me do the shrubs and they were always so straight and even so important to me...so I guess that\'ts it...love my yard to look a certain way.....but maybe this year just let him do it......lots of work,,,,maybe he will find that out...at least he is trying,,,,,I will just have to direct him in some areas....Thanks all...Sandi
Men, lol!! Glad you had a dream of Ken. Those visits mean so much. Love and peace, Linda
I am so glad you dreamt of Kenn - a good dream.
I hear you about men. I have a wonderful caring husband who will do almost anything for me. But when we had a house, the only thing he did outside was mow the lawn and shovel snow. He didn\'t look at the garden. Now we are in a condo and I feel like I am in the jungle. He has discovered potted plants and container gardening. It is a wonderful diversion for him - but I wish he had been as interested when we lived in a house!
I hope all goes well!
Love and hugs, Marlene
Your husbnad reminds me of my son. Bobby takes care of the mowing and weed-eating...yet he complains about our tree\'s. I understand with the all the storms there is always debree to be pick up. If he had his way there would\'t be any tree\'s on my property....Its ridiculous b/c e has a commercial mower...so it doesn\'t take long to mow an acre...guess I should just be thankful he mows........
When I was a young Mom I used to joke with my girlfriends that, though we did the vast majority of work around the house (even those of us with outside jobs), if our husbands picked up a dirty sock and put it in the laundry, they would make sure we noticed and expect a great big thank you!
We do have to choose our battles ~ as you say ~ your hubby is a good man so just letting him do it his way might be easiest. Still ~ it can drive you nuts! I\'m glad that you are beginning to care...
How wonderful to dream of sweet Ken ~ yay to Ken for saying hi to your Mom!
Love and big hugs ~ Debbie
I understand my friend about men. I am so goad you had a dream and a visit from Ken
Men...they can be annoying sometimes! So glad you had a good dream about Ken! Hugs, Kim
