frustrated and afraid
Today I'm frustrated and afraid. Mom says she is fine but just has an allergy headache. She is always tired from having shingles 3 years ago and now she says she is just lazy. Lately we have been eating short cut stuff. We do very little cooking these days.
Mom doesn't do much housework anymore and I'm so tired I fail at keeping up on things. The rugs need shampooing and floor needs scrubbing. The basement needs some cleaning and we need to get rid of lots of crap. When I say something, she is too tired to sit and watch. So it doesn't get done.
We do have appointments tomorrow for the chiro. Mom is having trouble with being lightheaded from a sore neck and the shingles pain never really leaves. It is getting where I can't sleep.
We were going to go to the bank today because we have a banking system where you have to do business every 3 months or they fine your savings. We are going to take some money out this time. It isn't worth the paperwork to do business like we are doing these days! But with Mom's headache, the day is shot. She tells me I am driving her nuts by worrying like I do but she is all I have.
The only "rest" I get is when I'm working. I've been up since 3:45am. So tired. When Mom asks what I want for Christmas, my answer is for her to feel good! I would give up 5 years of my life for that!!!
Our weekend was good. I hope and pray the chiro has gifted hands tomorrow and Mom feels much better so I can too.

You sound totally overwhelmed with work and worry. It\'s difficult to watch our elderly parents decline. Both of mine are with the Lord now, so I will never again need to deal with that kind of grief. Blessings and love to you.
Thank you! Things are better today. We went to the chiro and Mom came home and had a nap. I needed one but managed to sleep more last night. Tired but better.
